Electric is the only way to go these days. Lipo batteries have come so far. Check it out.

Sorry for your bad buy... That sucks... if you want to give nitro another chance, the Slayer is great. If you want electric, go with the new Platinum, or if you don't want to buy a radio, go with the Ultimate!

Depends on which one you get. If you get a normal one, a roller, the Platinum, or the Ultimate... Which one do you want to get?

I agree that either a ultimate(rtr) or the platinum(needs paint and a radio) are the best choices if you are buying new. If used, I would either find a great deal on a rtr or build from a roller. If the latter, pick up a CC system now to power the roller. Lots of good threads on Sl4sh.

I would get an Ultimate and run it. Replace things as they break. I have had an Ultimate since February and the only thing that has broken was a suspention arm. My standard Slash 4x4 has had all the upgrade parts installed as they break.

with nitro, you spend money on gas (40-50 bucks a gallon)
with electric, you spend money on lipos and charger (lipos are 30-60 bucks and a charger is 50-70 bucks)
