How come there is such a limited availability of E-maxx body's out there? I see a fair amount available for the T-Maxx but not the E-maxx.

Emaxx is discontinued. You may find parts specifically for the Emaxx, but I’m not entirely sure what is still available. Bodies are probably going to be harder to find. You could always use a Tmaxx body.

I will give that a try. Thank you.

Most times when they make a T-Maxx body it's for both a T-Maxx and a E-Maxx. How they do that is by making a solid body that you can trim and cut out the "marked" truck bed areas to fit around the T-Maxx cylinder head, or leave the "marked" area alone for a E-Maxx. Proline and JC Concepts both offer these. I get them all the time.

There were definitely E-Maxx specific shells, but there was always more variety with T-Maxx shells. While I definitely prefer bodies without the cutout areas, they aren't the end of the world. :)
If you search eBay right now there are several emaxx bodies available with different graphics. I just picked up this one recently

Man, that's really nice, and the price is good too.

Yeah that person who sells those bodies has them for a lot of different trucks/cars. For 29 bucks you can’t really beat it. Honestly though, unless they have an Emaxx body mold, they are probably Tmaxx bodies without the motor hole cut out. Which is fine for an Emaxx.
I do like that one paint scheme you linked. Looks cool [emoji1303]

Yep, that's what I use.
as far as I can see these are emaxx bodys, no indents for engine cutouts
Does anyone know if the Maxx body would fit on an E-Maxx 3908?
The Maxx body is to small for a E-Maxx. Plus, you wouldn't want to put a wimpy, wimpy, wimpy Maxx body on a hefty, hefty, hefty E-Maxx anyway. It would be sacrilegious. (lol)
Thanks for the clarification. I haven't seen a Maxx in person yet.
Another option is using Slash bodies and adaptors. It's very easy to do.
