I run losi tens and love them. D8 shocks should be a good pick too but losi 8 shocks are huge. More work than you would want to put in just to get them on there. Then, you don't have the weight to use them properly. I would rethink your options, go with losi ten or D8. Losi is a direct fit, no hassle, D8's, a little bit of modding for the proper fit.
D8's work very well for me as a basher who runs mostly on tarmac, I never touch them
Cheers
I was choosing between the D8's and SC10 4x4 shocks. I decided to go with the D8's and they work great!

I've seen only good reports about the D8 conversion.
It is hard to get the springs soft enough.
The SC10 4x4 shocks (used) may be had for cheaper $$ as some of those folks upgrade to newer.
I run the grey springs with 35 wt oil all round on the D8's
Cheers
I have a set of the losi tens also, I love them, they are smooth and I love the adjustable collars over the shims!
