what option do we have to get the merv lower to the ground ????

How about the old fuel tubing in the shock shaft behind the piston. It will reduce your travel but if you are low to the ground you don't need long travel.maybe need stiffer springs

Yeah, like 50 said. Shock limiters might be your best bet.
If you run stock shocks look at Traxxas part no TRA7067. That are the limiters for the Rally.
I run bigbore shocks, so that part did not fit here. I tried silicone fuel tubing but never managed to get an even cut through the tubing.
I now use these small ruber pieces you usually use on your fiets bowden wires to protect the frame from scratches. Works good.

Only difference between the merv and the rally/fiesta shocks are the limiters inside the shocks limiting the travel.
The zip tie method is the cheapest/easiest way to lower it, next would be doing the limiters in the shocks.
Idk if this will work, never seen it before but what if you use longer pushrods that attach to the rockers...?
You could make your own using all thread rod and pushrod ends. That's what I did for my front ones that attach to the steering cause with the RPM arms & GH hubs the stockers were too short.

i run traxxas aluminum and gh hubs work fine?
thats was my idea : there must be a way with the shocktowers and the pushrods to get lower
i know zip tie them will make it lower , but when you remove the body i think it does not look pro
there for i started this topic to find out if you guys knew a better way

i just remembered some short DIY links i have in my parts box. I got them off ebay for one euro but never mounted them yet.
Looks like someone cutted the stock rods, bored them and put a threaded link in between. They should bring the car down quite a bit

The HR on the top are "normal" lenght rods for comparision. (Stay clear of the HR, they bend if you look to sharp in their direction, totally not recommended.)

Some pictures of my Merv with the shock limiters from the rally car.... Test run was great but.... the Mini Revo is just sitting too low with the TBone installed. I will go back to the Zip tie method.

Chefmike, all you need to do to raise the height with the limiters in is to extend the pushrods in both the front and rear. Making them longer (and I can see that yours are adjustable) will raise the ride height. This is the best way to lower the car... using limiters.

any way to Mossie.. use the limiters i installed some last night.. TIP: use hollow balls as limitters that way instead of using tubing i cut, i get the exact same size on all shocks.. it worked like a charm and set my merv just low enough for me. witch is so low i will have to remove my t bone cause with it im getting like maybe 1/3 of an inch clearance.
good idea !i tried using two rocker arm bushing works good too.but all my spares i use in the center of my hpi rims!
yea i needed those bushings so i looked and seen how many hollow balls i had and realized how closely the stay to the shaft and was like hey that would prolly make it easier for the oil to flow through, cause the bushings covered up the piston hole, and the hollow balls fit really snug..

thats why we are here.. but if you do go with shock limiters.. i really suggest the hollow balls.. dont know if it makes a difference but the small outer diameter on them to me makes it seem like it wouldnt get in the way of your piston hole and allow oil to flow through easily.
