Keep in mind that the stock motor is maybe 4000 watts....so jumping to 15k will break driveline parts for sure
WOW........what body are you running? I wonder how much that effects speed vs the stock ford gt body?
that setup on 2s will be fast....maybe 55mph.....with 3s your talking very fast....70+
The body washers are a good idea...my body is pretty damaged in the 3 months I've owned my 8s xmaxxx....Also the rear bumper area of the body cracks too....Mine is so worn from sliding on its roof...
I didn't think the stock receiver is adjustable for BEC voltage...I also agree the fan could use a boost

Here is two options from rc juice. Kerhsaw is out of business so pretty much all that's left is fastlanerc

I bought a pair of Promatch 6500 75c batteries....HUGE improvement....acceleration is much stronger, but top speed remained the same. I called promatch and spoke to the owner who recommended the...
That looks like fun....we have a local off road dirt track, it they won't let xmaxx run.....maybe if enough show up we can make a "class". I'd do it
Mike
That sounds weird.....granted mine with 2085x is an 8S but I would guess your servo bec voltage is low....maybe a receiver problem
Its worth it.....the only downside I found is when driving on the street I get traction roll overs vs before it would just slowly slide....guess I need to slow down the steering inputs!
It does collect a lot of pebbles.....typically I flip mine upside down after running to "clean" it
Okay.....my ford gt with velineon 3500 28/50 hit 48mph with traxxas 3s 5000 20c battery and felt flat. I bought a gens ace 3s 5000 50c and it woke up....acceleration much better 0-50 in typically...
I ordered my 55 tooth today.....will have it Thursday,
I'd imagine it would be very difficult to drive.....impossible on 3S brushless for sure
Try better batteries....when I got the Promatch 6500 75C the power went up quite a bit compared to the stock traxxas batteries.... With the heavy, but better, proline tires it makes a difference... ...
I ran the 28/65 today. No way it would drop in, I had to sand it for a bit to get the bearing to fit. So the math on chart said hole E but it felt stupid tight. So i went with spot F. Mesh felt...
What gearing?
I run prolines on my stock 8S with the 2085x servo. The steering is much stronger, so much so that now I get traction roll overs at high speed and I never used too.... before it would oversteer...
I think the 1200 is physically larger too
an amp meter would help......figure 85-90% motor efficiency....
Has anyone tested either xmaxx motor? Sure it's rated at 1200 or 1275kv and is 48mm x 110mm which tells me it was built for torque. But what is max power and continuous power rating plus max rpm? ...
Is that the traxxas 55t or a different brand?
With stretchmax help I ordered new bearings that fit better from fast eddy bearings online. Size is 8x12x3.5. Choice is rubber seal or metal seal. Only $.99 per bearing or $10 per ten pack. Should...
The 34mm *** or windy trumpet fan quotes it fits standard 30mm mounts....it also is much thicker than the 35mmx10mm stock fan unit. I do not think it will fit...you will have to fabricate a mount...
consider the upgrade kit to 8S....the harder gears and center diff really to improve the truck. Especially since you got such a good deal. If you want to stay 6S consider the Gens Ace battery...I...
