Traxxas receivers do make it nice for dual servo setups though.

Myself, I prefer LiPo batteries. They offer better performance and greater mah capacity, but they also require greater care than NiMh.


IMHO: If your new to rc'ing go with the 2s lipo batteries....

The VXL3s doesn't need a 9cell NiMh battery. Here is the ESC specs.

Not sure how your running two servos, as the Traxxas receivers have two CH1 slots. The Futaba receivers only have one CH1 slot.

A possibility? Check that your ESC is in NiMh mode when the run time is 5min. If the LVC is turned on it could think the battery is a LiPo and tell you its dead.

They have only had sensored brushless motors since 2016.

I would ask Traxxas about the missing axle halfs. For the description of the part # it still says "extended driveshafts" are included.

Nope, nothing special to them.
Only thing you should make sure is the "loop" connector you made is the same gauge wire or bigger as what's on the ESC. (I think it's 10AWG)
