Try resetting your ESC.
Ditto on Amain Hobbies, My go to for RC anything.
Tap the button before you type and then send it off with the regular button.
I'm using a home computer with Google Chrome and it also worked with Tapatalk.
The button is a little fussy, just hover over the plus sign with your cursor
and it'll turn into a hand or click anywhere in the thin blue area.
works for me 👍
Check your slipper clutch.
Traxxas does have a rebuild kit for the Vxl 3500. I've used it many times.
Tell me about it..It's a sickness and there is no remedy.
Make sure you read these steps
TRX receiver binding
1. Press and hold the transmitter’s SET button
as you switch transmitter on. The transmitter’s
LED will flash red slowly. Release the SET...

BTW, if you don't have a bluetooth transmitter you may find a friend with one
or even your local hobby store to do it for you.
If that receiver didn't come in your truck new:
"A Traxxas TQi transmitter with the Traxxas Link Wireless Module (part
#6511) installed is required to control the receiver within the Traxxas Link...
If your not interested in the VXL setup which is an ideal choice, I'd say go
with the Traxxas 12T motor and the XL5 esc.
Yep, I see now, I forgot about that, you have to have more posts or time, not sure which.
At the top of this page, click "Forum Actions" then choose "Edit Profile"
and then Look for Edit Avatar.
Are you using the same transmitter on all these different trucks as you
test that sound box? I seam to remember reading somewhere to set your
throttle to 50/50 instead of 70/30, however, I can't...
What I've noticed is if this is your first nitro engine it probably won't last as long as your
next new engine. With that in mind I chose to stick with the Traxxas 3.3 and have 3 of them.
This way...
Sorry you didn't get much help there. I don't think the VXL3 has changed
since it's inception, so that leads me to think you have some sort of unique
problem besides the esc. Where did you buy that...
Your welcome, and by the way, welcome to the forum.
Sounds interesting, good luck with those builds.
Replace those metal washers with the right size pfte washers to while your at it. They're there for a reason.
If I were you I would contact Traxxas by phone and see what they say. That esc
is in their most recent truck with oba so it should work. If you got it from eBay, well
you might have to talk to them.
It's not enough to say stock, what model esc is it.?
Yes,and you probably should get a new one. If I were you I'd go over everything and
replace things like tubing, gaskets, and service the one way bearing.
