Have you taped the inside of your tires? It works miracles to prevent ballooning...
I think it's 3.5V per cell. :)
+1 eschmitt...:)
1. Did you install the correct RPM ring size over the slipper? There are two to choose from (large or small). The magnet must line up nicely with the RPM sensor; otherwise you're using the wrong size...
It's a Traxxas product forum, so this thread will probably be closed my friend...sorry.
Excellent! Sometimes it's just something simple... Enjoy...
It took me quite a few tries threading them on my E-Maxx. Patience, brother...be one with the pillow ball! :)
That's pretty sweet. Did you paint it yourself?
Mine picked it up automatically.
Did you choose your Traxxas model in the Tqi software? Just throwing that out there...
It might be time for a call to 1-888-TRAXXAS.

Traxxas batteries are excellent, but very expensive IMO. I think the Black Magic would be worth a shot given their lower price point...
Interesting point!
Generally speaking, stock gearing is adequate unless you do something that necessitates a gearing change to keep your motor cool. Lower gearing was necessary for me, for example, when I changed to...
10900, as well as their combo bulks. I like mine a lot.
When you start losing juice, you'll know you're approaching cutoff. Not very sophisticated, but it works...
Welcome to the forums!
Well, there might be a whole better chassis...

Welcome to the forums. I can't remember offhand what the maximum voltage is for the XL-5, but something tells me that 3S would make for a very short life span on your Titan. Again, that's...
I don't think it's that "smart"...even though it "sees" the number of cells in the pack, it probably does only recognize TOTAL voltage for cutoff purposes. And your cells shouldn't be that...
+1 Captain Speed...it's all about those motor temps. ;)
Yep, you're definitely going to toast the 550 faster on LiPo power than NiMh. More amperage + more consistent power curve = shorter brushed motor life.
Time to go brushless my friend!
The SPC packs are highly regarded around here. Hands down the most popular. And the Traxxas EZ-Peak Plus is an excellent two-port charger for $80. IMO, you won't find a better charger value out...

My standard LiPo charge and care guide follows. In short...do NOT discharge your LiPos all the way down to 3.0v per cell; that's the absolute minimum they can go before they're toast, so you need to...
Welcome to the forums.
Agree with Spennie...2S is the way to go, just my $.05 (I give you a whole nickel ;)).
Don't wait for your birthday. Waiting is lame.
That's perfect finishing voltage. +1 what 50 says about not leaving them "full." Charge 'em, use 'em!
