    Your throttle actuator arm may be hanging up slightly. Reposition the carb slightly for a straighter pull, and add bearings if you haven't done so already.

    You didn't happen to remove the head for any reason, did you? Hopefully you didn't loose the head gasket. If it's missing this can raise the compression slightly and kill plugs quick.
