My vote is for you to get the stock chassis from Amazon. (IMO) 20 bucks is a lot more doable than those high priced metal ones.
You definitely want to go with an after market motor, and someday a ESC too, rather than stock. The stock stuff is just enough, so that, it can be called a RTR. Castle, Leopard, and Hobbywing are all...
There's a couple of ways you can go. One way is (looking at Freek's picture), if you have enough threads of the screw protruding out from the plastic you can use a Dremel die-cutter disk to put a...
Plus, it's a lot cheaper too.
Instead of hip-hop music, you should set your video to the music "The Beverly Hillbillies" used when Ellie May Clampett came out on screen. :D
Boy, am I a dope. I didn't even think of looking...dah. I will the next time, though. Thanks.
The link doesn't work.
I found some on Amazon.
You are definitely on the right track. All these guys (IMPO) are giving you good advice. The only thing I would add is to pull your pinion, and hand push your truck on a smooth flat surface. It...
Ooops, I wrote in the wrong post, sorry.
Cool, thanks.
Thank you for answering my question. Also, does anyone knows if the bearings used are Traxxas bearings, and if so, what's the part number? One more question. Will that thing fit a original 6s Xmaxx?
Where did yo get that?
I use a Leopard motor, Castle ESC, Traxxas Tx/Rx, and use the Traxxas Link telemetry. The key for being able to use the Traxxas Link is using their Tx and Rx.
I don't know. I never did the math, but I do agree that it's weird...if true. I myself, would think you'd go from bumper to bumper. (IMO) bumper to bumper would be the true truck dimension.
Hey, I got a wagon too. I got it for my wife for her gardening. I'll have to give it a try.

I wonder if they are using a 1.5 mod 25/35 pinion/ spur setup, or a 1.0 mod 25/35 pinion/ spur setup.
It does my heart good to see someone who isn't afraid of a little math. But, my understanding is that when manufactures figure out the scale of their RC's they use their RC truck's body dimensions,...
If you want to run your 8s Xmaxx on 6s. I'd consider keeping your Traxxas 8s ESC and go with a 1340kv leopard motor along with either 26 or 29/54 gearing. I go 29 when I use my Proline wheels, and 29...
That's how it's advertised...as a 1/6th scale truck.
That's pretty cool.
Sounds like you got yourself a first version Xmaxx...that's what I have too. If so, and you want to stay with 6s (I'm 6s too), then you want to dump the Traxxas 1650kv motor to go with a Leopard...
Greater men have said less. (lol)
Wow, that's cool. What kind of programing can you do for your servos?
Can you run those servos with the Traxxas TX and RX?
