That's weird. I can't see the pic in my post. I don't recall there being much under the body. Just on the outside of the body, and the wheels were packed. That was taken a few years ago. We haven't...
After a 40min bash in 3"- 4" of wet/heavy snow with my Merv using Proline Big Joes II tires. It loves the snow.
I thought I inserted the pic correctly. Apparently I don't know how.

The ESC fan will plug into the accessory plug on the ESC. The Integy I mentioned comes with a Y adapter.
I'm using the Traxxas fan on my ESC(#3340). If I'm not mistaken, the Hoss comes with the same fan already installed. On the motor I'm using an Integy T8534BLUE heatsink/dual fan. Both are plug and...
ESC fan and motor heatsink/fan are a must when running 3s in the Rustler 4x4 VXL. They overheat very easily.
Gens Ace is a good choice.

I recently picked up a pair of these. They're cheaper than the Gens Ace, but seem to be holding...
I don't use NiMh, but I would imagine you'd be better off with a pair of 2s LiPo. Similar runtime, better performance, and they actually fit in the battery trays.
Lol. We must have a similar driving style.
Lol. For some reason, I took that personally. :((
It should feel a little tight when shimmed correctly.
If it didn't need shims, you wouldn't have a stripped diff.
Your car, your call to make.
Glad you found the issue. Did the previous owner have it shimmed? If you're going to continue running 2s there's no need to spend $80 on the HR rear bulkhead like someone previously mentioned in this...
That is weird, especially considering it only clicks when there's a load on the drivetrain. Did you check the driveline grub screws like Acidic01 mentioned? These things are also prone to small rocks...
I'm assuming he meant the ring & pinion (part#7079).
Did you notice a decrease in forward acceleration when it started to make the clicking noise? When I stripped mine, it would barely move...
That's cool. All comes down to personal preference, I guess. I have it dialed in nicely, as is. Stripped the diffs once in 2017, not long after I got it. Hasn't been an issue since.
Cool. If they were running two 2s Lipos, it's probably a parallel connector.
I didn't do anything except shim the diffs. I just prefer the slipper clutch over the optional center diff, for bashing. The center diff will make it tougher to wheelie, and I like the front wheels...
Nice looking truck. The series connector is for NiMh batteries. You need an older style parallel connector to run two Lipos.
I tried it, but I like it better without the center diff.
Stock gearing should be fine with 2s.
It'll do standing frontflips and backflips on 2s or 3s if you're getting good bite. The Traxxas wheelie bar doesn't prevent that.
Glad I could help. Now your E-revo will have a crazy little sibling trying to keep up with it.
Is that a Testament reference I see in your signature?
No problem. The stock axle carriers are a weak spot. Not so much right off the bat, but eventually you'll get some wheel wobble in the front end. I upgraded to the Hot Racing aluminum axle carriers....
You'll want to shim the diffs to run 2s or 3s. I use 2 shims in the rear, and 1 in the front. Team Associated part #21141. The servo should last a while, but you'll eventually want to upgrade that....
No problem. Those, combined with the HR axle carriers, eliminated 90% of the wheel slop.
That's what I've been using for a few years, along with the steel hollow balls(part#7028x). They've taken a good beating, with no issues. The steel hollow balls eliminate some of the dreaded wheel...
Didn't you tell me before that you're running the NiMh battery that came with the car, or did you get a LiPo battery? If you're still running the NiMh, a shimmed traxxas bulkhead should be fine.
