And one more thing... Did this to entertain myself while editing. Its a four hour timelapse, pouring the 20M diff oil from my two maxx center diffs, condensed into 30 seconds. I thought it would...

Also, here's Parts one and two again as I just noticed they're not showing up properly above...

Well it took almost two months but I finally have and answer on the center diff :D
I bought the Maxx 8980 upgrade center diff and the answer is... a dedicated ring gear on the E-Revo 2.0 center...
This setup was prior to the one above. Same castle system but 3S 3200mAh 40C and 1/8 buggy wheels on Traxxas 17mm Hexes. Shocks lowered with 2mm front and 4mm rear internal spacers.

Cool. Keep us posted [emoji106]
Yeah definitely! Held off for ages due to the high price. Hobbywing make a blue tooth link too and it’s the same price. The HW ESC I have doesn’t have it built in and needs the linker :/
Maybe...
Looking good mate! Have you had a chance to drive yet? Wondering if the offset makes a difference in stability.
Sounds well tuned and much more usable. It’s hot here so always looking for ways to lower temps.
Thanks mate. Hadn’t seen a direct conversion utility before. I converted each unit separately. Cheers!
Nice. And I take it from what you were saying about the before motor temp it runs cooler now too?
Finally getting round to editing up some old stampede 4x4 running vids. This one is mostly from 2011, except for the first clip and last two clips which were from last year.
Castle MMP & 1410...
What is 285oz-in in a standard kg measure compared to aftermarket servos?
Is it 20.5kg/cm?
Awesome work mate! Very capable mod!!! Great stuff [emoji106]
Funnily Traxxas has taken down the listing for the 8997 wide Maxx toe links. Their phones were probably ringing off the hook with people chasing the rest of the wide conversion.
That 8984...
I’ve just finally bought one but to use on a castle system. So some of those tips above may still come in useful, especially for the radio failsafe and motor test.
Looking forward to it too,...
I gave the bulkheads etc a good look over on disassembly and I can’t see anywhere a sway bar could pass through unfortunately.
So perhaps those arm holes front and rear may be for shock guards...
That’s great info mate! Thanks for sharing.
More current carrying capability, PROGRAMABILITY, adjustable voltage BEC (and more powerful?), standard size motor bullet connectors (don’t try find the Traxxas 3.5mm compatible ones, if you’re going...
I had overlooked the Hobbywing Max10 SCT ESC previously as I was mainly looking for a sensored ESC, but man, that thing looks good for the money.
Seems to really outshine the Sidewinder 4... 4S...
I bought one from China on eBay to see how it goes. On its way.
Search dust cover Maxx 1/10 and they should come up. I bought the one without the zip as the zips looked weak.
Outerwears would...
Just found that the XO-1 17mm hubs seem to fit the maxx stock plastic driveshafts.
The only problem I can see stopping it working is the hub retainer is M4, where the Maxx needs M5. Other than...
There’s a lot of room for RPM to make a set of Slash 4x4 arms that are more beefy I reckon. Not as floppy but still hardy. Would love to see that.
Yeah me too, but have just never taken the leap. They should be getting real good these days with all the electronic gyros etc. I like how the 1/5 bikes use standard 1/10 electronics. I’m sure...
Also meant to agree that the RPM and X-Duties are a very well established combo for reliability.
Don’t mean to detract from that in any way, just filling in a few options.
