Looks grueling. I'd love to try it.
Thanks Mud, do the lipos you guys use come with those? Or do you solder them on yourself? I have my cart ready at Tower, just need to order everything at once....
I think I'll order a Platinum tonight.
Just one question, what connector comes on the esc for the battery? A pic would be great because I can't put the name to the face, I'm out of the loop.
...
I used loctite and all my wheels flew off, but then my Revo does 100+ MPH.
I use this battery in my bump boxes. You will prolly get tired of running your truck before this battey dies out...

Try loosening the glow plug before you pull the starter. That should make it much easier to pull because the compression will be quite a bit less. Make sure you tighten it back up before you take off.
Just about any 1/10 bump box should work. I bought an Ofna for about $50 battery included.
My Jato is so fast Andy Green called me to find out how I do it.
I don't think those would last too long on my Jato.
Congrats! Buy some tires too.
I use proline dirt hawgs on the rear and proline edge on the front with agitator rims. You'll need to use 2 shims on the front spindles. You'll get great traction and...
Sounds too lean to me. Get an infared temp gauge. Duratrax makes a good one but read the directions, you have to set temp gauge to read right.
Did you get the 3.3?
The motor saver has been known to fail, allowing dirt in the carb and ruining engines. Get a buggy filter, better & cheaper. I run the RB, about $20. Use locktite on the screw or it might not stay on.
Got pics? It would be easier to see what you need with some pics.
The good thing about the Jato is, when your Revo is broke you can take it out on the street in front of your house fill that need for speed!
LOL, yeah the Savage is a junker I think. I'll bet I could break one in half if I hit one at WOT with my Jato.
I'd stick with the stock filter or get a buggy filter. The ms filter is junk!
Got mine Friday from Tower. Ran 4 tanks yesterday. It's gonna be screamer when it gets broke in I think.
Does it turn over?
Can you see fuel flowing through the fuel line when you turn it over. If not hold your finger over the exhaust to prime the engine.
Maybe loosen the the plug a little until...
Put the bearings in the wheels. Put the the shims/spacers on the front axles and mount the wheels. I think I used 2 per axle.
I'm not using any either. I'm kinda doing an experiement to see how long I can go without. I took it apart last week and so far so good. I'm not convinced the diff needs any oil yet.
The throttle got stuck eh? PSSSST (wispering) it's ok, we won't tell your mom. Good Job!
It will probably make your engine run hotter. Airplanes have a prop to cool them.
Charge your battery until it becomes warm. Not all day. That just ruins the battery. I've been using my same starter battery for over a year on my Jato and Revo.
Not true.
A flat pack will fit in either the back box or the middle box. The 4 double A's will only fit in the rear. The hump pack won't fit either battery box.
You want a 5 cell or 4 double A's. The double A's will only fit in the rear battery box. The 5 cell will fit in the rear or the middle box.
