I know, late to the party. Still, here's a quick snippet of mine:

Guess I should post and update. So here's what I tried:
At first I replace the front shocks w/ 50W and the rear with 40W, just as it states in the manual. We'll I could certainly tell that this...
Bent a shock mount bolt.
On page 21 of the manual it states that the stock shocks are 50W in the front, and 40W in the rear shocks. Yet, out of the box, my new Slash 4x4 seems like the front damping/rebound is a bit too...
Yeah, looks like they must have updated the manual, and I simply got an old edition of the manual. Strange though, since I just bought it back in December...
Again, I'm so grateful for the forums...
I hate nit-pick here, but...

Actual verbiage from page 13:
Using an Additional Battery Pack for Increased Run Time
Traxxas 1/16 models only...
It would be nice if more of the reps, LHS or otherwise would be more educated in this fact, as my LHS also didn't know of this issue and simply explained the differences between the two connectors,...
Sorry for bringing up an old thread, but I too am dealing with this issue. The manual only mentions about running 2 batteries in parallel, yet it does NOT say specifically to NOT use a series...
Don't you have to pay for the club, though? How much are the fees annually? I think I remember having it the first year, but didn't continue after that.
Could you elaborate on this? Last I checked it was $394.99. My LHS is giving me a pre-order price of $384.99. Tax is going to be around $32, so yes it will still be more expensive than Tower, but...
Well, I've been a total tower-hobbies/web only type of person ever since I got into this sport back in '03, only going to the LHS here and there for small parts. This time around I figured I'd try to...
Super helpful, info. Thanks. Could you elaborate on the pros/cons of lipo vs nimh (last I remember from a few years back the big issue w/ lipo was safety)?
Also, what about connectors? Are people...
Ok, I think I see what you're saying. So the Slash was originally intended to be an "affordable" vehicle, the Slash 4x4 simply represents that same product line, but with the 4x4 capability, and a...
Sorry, I'm still relatively "new" to the RC World. Have been enjoying my Rustler since 2003.
But what I'm trying to understand is why there seems to be more anticipation for this Slash 4x4 design...
Hey, that's some pretty good detective work there. We'll see if you're right soon enough. Did you just pull up that code using the View Source option in the browser on the Electric page?
Reposted on youtube for those that care...

What type of terrain are you driving on?
Personally, I run the back end a bit soft (Red springs, 35wt oil, 3-hole piston head). In really rough terrain the suspension will follow the terrain much...
So there's no difference in the plastic resins used between the two? Just the color and features? Hmm. Literature makes it seem like it's a new reinforced resin and tougher than the black stuff.
Actually, it just looks like they're titanium nitride COATED, not actually titanium. So The coating itself isn't going to really do anything as far as strength.
Ok, thanks.
Do they actually work, though? I know from a numbers standpoint they'd be stonger, but anyone that uses them that can confirm that they don't get bent easily?
Seems I keep hitting things that bend the shock shafts. Are there any conversion kits or shocks that use a larger diameter shaft?
Looking for recommendations on the following components.
Motor guard Something cheap and durable (rpm-like). top protect the motor from getting dinged by rocks, etc.
Camber links/toe-in...
Yeah I saw that, actually over here, but $60 is a bit rich for my blood. $8 sounds pretty good to me. I could go through a few of the plastic ones and still be less than the cost of those:p
Well, I'm looking to replace gearbox half that the motor mounts to. Has a big indentation from where my old motor adjustment was, and it's been hard to keep another adjustment w/ different pinions...
WOW! This is one of the best resources I've seen yet. Bookmarked for sure. Thanks for the link.
