Little solder advice here; use the largest tip you can, don't buy those cheap hollow core tips, and use flux, all that adds up to fast heat transfer and better joints.

Every battery I charge at 1c from dead always takes an hour or so. From storage charge its probably about 30 min. Is it taking an hour from storage charge or once you've run it down and hit lvc? And...
I'd try duct seal. Its a pliable sealant that doesn't harden up nor permanently stick. Very cheap and would be effective in this situation and easily removed when needed.

Sounds like a software issue with the esc. Like it thinks the voltage is higher then it is. Now I don't have any of the fancy link app stuff, but can you completely disable it? If so try that. Can it...
They are the same sensor wire. I've run tekin escs with various motors including castle, and run caslte escs with various motors, including tekin. Hobbywing axe is the only non interchangeable system...
I run one on 4s. Geared really low in a crawler though. Never went over 110. Whole different setup though. As others said, watch temps closely and definitely report back on how it goes.

I have 2 identical rock bouncers, running 4s, one has underdrive in the rear, the other doesn't. No difference in wear or broken parts, I do notice slightly better hill climbing and tighter turning...
You can sand it down. I had to grind down some of a locker on another crawler once. Needed the ring gear to move closer to center, ended up putting the locker in a drill, which then I put the drill...
Electrical gremlins can be tricky. Easiest way to diagnose is to use other equipment. Like try a different servo, or reciever. Could be a bad servo, they tend to cause other issues when dieing. As a...
You can still use those. I have 2 sets of plastic beadlocks on faster rigs. I use 3m adhesive spray, its like an aerosol rubber cement. Helps keep the tires on the beadlocks and comes apart and...
No, the foc. Where the motor is controlled by the percent the throttle is pulled. Meaning the motor will stop once you let off the throttle, even when drag brake is off.

You guys having good luck with the rock racer mode? Did they fix the foc control where it will coast normal after letting off the throttle or does it still slow right down following the throttle...
Get a cheapo ir temp gun. The touch method varies (sometimes quite drastically) person to person. Check it often (every 5 minutes or even less) to start out to get an idea how it runs. Also check...
I run in wet, and hose my vehicles down every time they need it. But i repacked all my bearings with marine grease, and give it a nice mist of silicone spray lubricant after I use an air compressor...

I have one of those. It will work to rinse ok, but it has very low pressure, and not alot of water comes out. So I wouldn't worry about too much pressure.

Promodeler makes nice powerful servos. The savox 2290 is a tried and true beast. Reefs makes some great ones too. Holmes hobbies v3 is the fastest strongest I've tried (haven't used a Promodeler yet,...
Just cut and solder one wire at a time. Be very careful about shorting the battery out. Also use a large soldering tip.

Take a pic of it desoldered and resoldered (I can't see the first pic you have there). Are you using a large tip? The bigger the better with the larger wires. Also make sure its perfectly clean. A...

I think they should sell this more as a kit, with no electronics. But unfortunately that's not the way traxxas does it. I get it though, more likely to sell rtrs to the new guys looking to start out...
Little more complicated way you can do it, is use an external bec set to 6v for the reciever, and use the xlx2's bec to power just the servo. This way you can buy a smaller cheaper bec, and utilize...
