Take a close look at the front bulkhead. I cracked mine when I crashed. Didn't notice until a few runs later when a dog bone popped out. Reshaped the metal plate up there...
I did the same thing. Smashed into a rock and the batteries were not the same shape coming out as they were going in. I threw mine out in an e-waste disposal drive. I think it's possible that they...
I considered a steel spur when I did the steel driveshaft upgrade. Ultimately I kept the plastic for the exact reason you mentioned. I think it's the last bit of protection for the motor if you hit...
Pillow ball caps. I knew there was a technical term for it.
If you clamp down too hard on the ball joints in the wheel carriers, that can cause issues. It looks like you have replaced the a arms. Maybe you were over enthusiastic in reassembly?
So if I remember correctly from my materials science class, a static load on a properly designed spring should have no bad side effects. In this case, properly designed means that the metal alloy...
Did your shock survive? I'm guessing it got yanked pretty good when this happened.
Maybe it's just the lighting and the image compression. It looked like the front edge of the a arm was lower than the rear edge.
Little detail I noticed in that last picture. The top a arm seems to be out of alignment if you look at the front and back hinge points. Did it rip out?
Oh snap. You got it jammed good!
I was thinking that taking the rocker off its main hinge screw would give some play in the suspension, allowing the axel to pop out.
Also, you might be able to force the axle to rotate in place and pop back into alignment
Can't you remove the screw from the suspension rocker arm?
Fascinating failure mode. I'd almost venture a guess that the drive axel popped partially out while under power, and the interference between the axel and drive cup is what forced the ball retainer...
I'm not sure if you would get any factory support from traxxas since it's a used car. That being said, it's pretty easy to clip off the existing connectors and solder on some new ones. That can open...
That's unfortunate. Is it on the esc side or the battery side?
Almost sounds like a loose connection and the battery circuit is being broken temporarily. If you wiggle the power wires will it shut off?
I run dual savox SW0231MG. Less of an upgrade and more of a replacement since I broke my original traxxas servos. Id say that I wish I had spent a bit more. While they do work fine, I feel like I...
My first thought would be the tires developing flat spots due to softening in the heat with the weight of the car. I'm not confident that would actually happen, but it seems possible if you leave...
If you have a multimeter, I'd suggest checking the voltage between the ground and power wires connected to the servo.
I'm not sure I follow all that. So you are trying to use the high voltage bec to drive the leds and the servo?
And as described, does the servo do nothing at all, or does it twitch? Does it fight...
Very nice!

Can you post a picture of the gears? 1mm vs 5mm pitch shouldn't mesh on any meaningful level.
Not sure then. Might need to make a call to traxxas.
