4s I think a 12 or 13 tooth pinion.
3s is usually enough for me, usually and 16 to 18 I use with that.

If the surface rust is not old sometimes put gun oil on my metal. Heck it's what I use on my mip steel. And other krap. Screws I dot the head and they don't rust.
Gun oil. Lucas brand. WORK FOR me....

Got the sensored 2400kv motor from Castle today. Did no it was 3 and 4s only. Did NOT know good for up to 6.5 lbs only.

I find Traxxas connectors far superior. They have like 70%more surface area touching and I have never had one melt even in high power systems.

Even in my others everything is Traxxas connectors....

Why not a Tenshock motor like 3400kv if you want to run 3s?
I have literally 4 of theirs. 1 sensored. About $60 delivered.

See if b Tower hobbies price is equal or less it won't take but v 2 to 4 days.
May I suggest a slightly larger battery like 5000mah or larger. You will have a longer runtime and more power on tap.

The Velenion is great. Fast, waterproof.
I owned the 2 pole and now there is the 4 pole.
On the other hand for $100 you could get a castle SCT and it's faster I believe.
The real selling point...
