Once I put the metal gears inside of my stock 2075, I haven't had any problems at all in the last 3 years. $12 well spent

Those tires they sold you are too small. They are a low profile Tire more for a 4WD Rustler. These are the ones you want.
...
How are you going to drive the truck, and on what type of terrain?

No you can't use a single battery with the max8

2400kv on 3s geared 50/20 will get you scooting along quite nicely without heat issues.

Just yanking your chain. Originally from Chicago, I now live in Fort Lauderdale Florida. I don't miss the snow

What's the white stuff on the truck?

Put 0 offset scte wheels on it. Those are the narrowest wheels available

You could also put a rear shock tower on the front and use rear shocks to get more travel upfront

Proline now makes belted trenchers that don't balloon under power.

Don't be nervous, just do it. Or just buy that body. It is the best body I've ever used for bashing. Takes a ton of abuse and doesn't crack easily

No customizing at all. Front and rear bumpers bolt up to the stock locations

Stampede bumper in front, T-Bone racing bumper in the rear

SMC is all I've used the last 5 years. Never had a problem. That's a good price for that battery.

Order Savox 0251 Metal Gears as a replacement. They drop right in. They're about $12.

Yeah I would have spent the six bucks on that carbon fiber battery hold down as well. Thanks for the update on your truck. Always nice to hear how it runs.

If you decide to go with 2.8 sized tires on 3s start at 54/12, and check temps. Go up or down on the pinion size depending on your temperatures. 32p gears will better take the abuse that a 3s battery...
If you're only going to buy one tire, I recommend the proline trencher for what Terrain you described. Do you have the lcg chassis or HCG chassis on your truck? How tall is the grass? This will help...
Throw some 2.8 Proline Trenchers on it, and get an Emaxx body. Done. Cheap monster truck

Another cool thing is with a powered screwdriver, I could convert it back to the slash Short Course Truck in about 10 minutes. One thing I discovered when I did this one time, is the truck handles...
You don't have to be a modder to do this type of conversion. Everything bolts on in the stock location. It took me about an hour to do the entire conversion.
