Rally's a little small, and even hopped up on full-stroke Slash shocks can't cope with too much in the way of rough terrain. But on smooth-ish dirt it's a blast.

Hard to tell how much original RS there is in there. The tube-framery is clearly all different but stare long enough and you can make out what appears to be the original chassis monocoque (center...
MADNESS! The little motor sticker under the wing
This would make a heck of a 1/16 lid:

3~4mm offset is stock fitment so won't require any body mods.
On the Rally body at least, 5mm is problematic unless you run a lot of camber:

Nice. There are some good Camaro liveries running in the Grand AM Gt circuit (google images link) as well. Stevenson, Sonoco, Autohaus...
Just mounted a set of "6081" and ran them around on the street for a bit.
Verdict: Not bad
Pros: they are very lightweight, (super-thin) and kinda stretchy. Seem to handle on asphalt...
Rally vs Mustang posts are definitely different: Mustang's front posts are longer, rear post is shorter. The body "pads" are angled differently as well. I have em here, side-by-side.

Looks like the standard Rally body done up Citroen ish. Any more photos? I'd like a closer look at that wing.
Fwiw, HK has a few Blue Bird 393DMH in stock as of this morning. I jumped on one, so there's 4 left. It's a race between TRX 2080 warranty replacements from Texas and the 393 from the other side of...
Like this? SPC 2250 2s:

Backside is smoothed so there's no edge rubbing the wires:

They all seem to go out in groups... probably some expiration code baked into the control chip in the servo. :)
Yup, +1 on all that. My XPat D's got run hard offroad and on for a about year and are finally pretty much done. They were great and I'd recommend them. The Belted Pros seem a bit crisper/edgier...
Skitlerz, how'd you waterproof the 390? I'd likely just need some splash-proofing...
Glad this thread got bumped... my... (counting) 1, 2, 3, 4th 2080 servo died this evening... That's roughly four months of mild street hooning per servo. Pretty grim.
Onto the waitlists for 390's...
Check this thread, full of good tire stuff:
Rally with aftermarket wheels tires.
... been a while since it was updated so fell back some pages.
That's a huge gap between the front skid and the center drive cover... have a careful look over the front chassis and bulkhead, something's not quite right there. (Typically the steering arm and...
Cool. Is that just a standard rear set? Or did you have to buy front rockers and separate rear plates? Guess what I'm after is knowing how HR handled the rear rocker's hub offset (if they had made...
For the rocker mod to really make a difference, the pushrod will need to run with very little clearance next to the stock arm. From what I can tell RPMs are a wider shape, so it's likely going to be...
Good, good. I challenged a few #11 blades cutting mine. The slippy plastic and intricate cuts had me a little worried about my fingertips, too.
The big inboard bearings still get grimey,...
Yup, have been running those same rates (and HPI X pats!) on the street. Keep in mind that the modified rocker changes the effective spring rate by reducing the pushrod leverage so you'll want to run...
Nope, still have limiters in. What this mod does is actually use nearly all of the shock compared to the stock setup where a fraction of the shock was active (particularly if you ran with low ground...

Curious about how you got the pushrod to clear the suspension arm. Mine is fractions of a MM from rubbing on it at various points of compression... cut the upper arms? rear tops up front?
Any of the Slash-length springs will fit but since they're longer they put more pre-load on the suspension which pushes the ride-height up. Doesn't look bad for road use - 6.5-ish mm under the...
