I like Squeegie's idea of crafting a plastic one from a stock piece. If I...
Thanks for sharing your adventure with the sand build! Looking a the latest pics of the front belly, you might look/conider an RPM front and rear skid plate....and PERHAPS modify it or make a flange...
Hello FTD! It sounds like you have that rig dialed. It really is a rare build with all the aftermarket parts you have on it. Hopefully you will never dismantle it!! :) But...I'm sure if you look...
Whatup FTD! That bumper looks like an excellent choice for protecting the rear AND is esthetically most pleasing. Nice choice! Are you getting some wheelies with that Velineon on the back?

Of the different brands I have tried, they all differ slightly in their size. Usually the mounting holes are the same...but sometimes you need to adjust the chassis in order for it to fit...and...

I used that combo in one of my builds...super smooth and lots of adjustability.
I've had similar issues...the "stranded" wires have been rather difficult to solder. I have had success using a lead core-solder as opposed to the non lead-based solder. FWIW.
Agree with the others, if the bearings are good...the problem will be fixed with some shims...assuming the case isn't warped/damaged/etc.
I want to see pictures from Yojih1234 to see exactly what he is talking about...

I cut down an axle (who doesn't have an extra axle laying around) to 17mm length...FYI Now we can lay this thread to rest.
Boo-ya
FTD, are you sure it doesn't need a wing? Have you had a chance to rip it yet?
Fortunespoonz, that is some great advice right there about the rx and salvaging what you can!
Awesome on the Stampede purchase...not awesome on the problems. You should call Traxxas support and see what happens.
Tiogaplanet,
I've been watching/reading your post and enjoying your adventure. Thanks for sharing! I like what you are doing with the colors! Keep at it and don't give up. I've used a few integy...
Me likey a lot. When I look at that nice clean truck it reminds me why I plan on NOT buying a new truck (1:1 scale)...they are too pretty. I can almost see a black plastic roof rack (i.e. skid lid)...
Xdeserted,
All these fine forum folks have gobs of good advice...and I will offer another. I would get either a Bandit or a Rustler in the BRUSHED version. Keep it less expensive and less...
Dev...whatever you did to get the Mrs. involved...please share. Us married folks need a little of that mo-jo.
FTD,
this is great...take it back to old-school when we made ramps out of "here's-a-thang" that's laying around the house. Don't make it perfect...just make it BOSS. Let'er'rip
ps This is...
I was checking on something from this thread when I saw the way I had the wing mounted...yikes!! After many variations, this is the best wing mount I have discovered. It uses two wire wing-mounts...

It would be really cool to have some different plastic a-arms for the bandit.
LOL. GD for the win!
Whatup fellas! I tried that out a while back with this rig:

FTD! JCONN for the win! I like that body-shell BUNCHES...good job on the painting! It is SUPER cool that an (after-market) rustler, nitro-body fits!! Also, thanks for posting about what works! ...
