it's been 5 months without repairing the udr's
1 of my least favorite rc's to work on , an drive
udr's wear out parts ,maintenance needed - quicker than any other

have installed atomic aluminum steering servo saver assembly on 2 Xmaxx so far
the stock plastic servo savers haven't lasted 6 months on my Xmaxx's once a week runs
all the assemblies bearings were...

30/35 might be fast for 1 short run - not suggested

stock motor - 20/46 gears is bout as high you can go without hitting LVC

have ran 2 vxl8s esc's since the 8s power up system became available
first new 8s roller from jennys rc was $475 - no body or esc -both vxl8s are still operating
max6 punch is worth the change

front cvd pin failed on #1 xmaxx with a max6 + hostile 5b MX tires - 6s from 2016

put a very little e6000 on the connector/wires/receiver this time

removed the servo linkage screw ,on the servo saver
then check steering moves freely
then check servo - may need plugged back in

when rpm's run out with the 1200kv motor -
the 1600kv still has torque , and rpm's to pull
have to agree with numbers - smile gets bigger with 1600 motor

Have been running the 1600kv motor on 8s
since the power up kit / 8s came out
the 1600kv motor is faster and has more torque
than the 1200kv motor-on my original 6s,
max6, 25/46 with hostile...

thrashing the udr's over a year now
replaced the steering servo saver again on #2- 2nd or 3rd time now
going to order aluminum servo saver next time
they don't break just wear out= sloppy...

tape or plug the holes in the rims, before dirt gets in
or melt holes in the tires
consider installing the open diff and 34 47 gearing

using a 20t pinion with the 46t spur-
with the pin mesh system works fine
stock 46t spur still working here after 2 years
call traxxas support ,
they will send you a replacement 46t spur gear

direct short = melted wires

test positive / negative with multi tester

8s gears rarely fail
