Old style blue xl5 esc(the ones with 3 separate black heat sinks) can run 3s and even 4s if you use a separate bec....

If that 12t trail master has 0° of timing like my 21t trail master, it will have less power than stock. It will run more reliably and cooler. You probably can bash it on 3s with proper gearing, and...
It's happened to me when my packs sit around in the cold. Try the packs when they are warm, if it works fine when warm, then you know it's just cold batts.

Maybe defective hex metal? I find it hard to imagine all 6 being damaged without a defect...

I believe I just taped them down to the battery doors the few times I ran the trx batts.

That's the stuff in the vid I posted above, but link doesn't work for me in vid or your post

This will help keep the edges of your body from cracking. I had an issue with the sides of the body cracking. I also shoo goo'd my cage to the body. The rear will...
Post a pic of your wire exit.
I ran my 6700 trx packs only a few times before selling them. They performed very well, but we're too heavy for my diff and shock tune. Got 5200's that saved 40% of...
I don't think a version 2 will be coming anytime soon due to the reason I mentioned in my 1st post, but... A trx4 ultimate would be sweet.
Id like to see...

Not sure if trx will make a version 2. They got it right the 1st time

Id say, that after everything I've read... This guy doesn't want brushless... He wants a better, longer lasting brushed motor.
Although he wants no maintenance, but oiling a bearing or bushing...
Contemplating throwing my rear hoons from a Felony on the 2 rear axles, and the felony fronts on the front of my trx6 .
I figure overdrive front trx4 gears will make up the difference between the...
Bearings are sealed. Pick up a few extra inner wheel bearings, as they are thin, and wear out quickly.
Reinforcing the body is a good idea, especially in the rear.
Heavier shock oil, and...

Not sure on those temps. Been a long time since nimh. I know my lipos don't get warm on a 2c charge.

I had a 4k trx nimh that I THINK said series 4. I'm guessing it would be series 3 for the 3000 mAh

Nimh packs have much higher internal resistance compared to lipos. The castle motor is hungry for electrons, and the 7cell hump pack cant get them out fast enough. Be careful, nimh cells can pop...
Are you more into the scale side or the performance side of your project?
If into scale, the blazer and bronco are both stunning, and equipped with many options. The price is up there, but you get...
The rpm bearings get gritty, and need maintenance if in dirty, dusty conditions too. It's usually a lot more than the 5 to 10 runs I got out of the thin stock bearings.

That's one reason I like avid. You get metal shield, or rubber seal or a mix, on every bearing in the kit.
On my 2wds, I used metal shield inside trans, revolutions at the carriers, diff outputs,...
Wow. This will clean up any 2 battery chassis... I may do this on my felony. The wires are a mess from the factory.

The orange blazer is my fave trx4 body. Great choice!
