I am with everyone else. SMC lipos are all I have bought for several years. I did a lipo comparison back in the day, about six or so years ago. The SMC lipo used is still going strong!!!
I have my esc set so if the motor gets above 155° it will shut the truck off. I have never reached that degree even in the summertime.
No offense to the op but calling Castle Creations should have been the first thing that they did. Castle Creations stands by their products. That is a huge reason I spend my money with them.
The Ultimate Slash 4x4 is the only Slash that I will buy! All the extras make it a bargain compared to if you try and upgrade an VXL Slash 4x4.
I'm about to order the new CV axles myself. When you get them installed please let me know how you like them :)
The differentials will hold up for while. Don't let that hinder building your truck.
Sorry for being late to the party but let me add my $0.02! I absolutely love the 2400kv motor ♡ I got for first one in 2011ish. It is plenty fast with lots of power ;) I have a video that shows it...

I broke at least two shafts on the 2400kv motor. that is why I completely agree with what Castle Creations says. On this forum we call it the El Sob special 2.0 motor system ;)
Currently, all of my 3s lipos are SMC! I am extremely happy with them and don't plan to buy another brand.
I don't off-road often. I keep sets of the stock B.F. Goodrich S1 compound tires for that. I can't offer any assistance to you.

You must be in Europe. Duratrax and Louise are basically the same. Duratrax Bandito SC-M C2 compound tires are my favorite on road tires. I highly recommend them ;)
Did you break CV axles or ring and pinion gears?
Thank you! It had the original slipper clutch in it. That's why I don't understand why people have problems with it. That man was 225LBS! Everything thing worked perfectly :)

That does sound like a good idea. I don't have the bearing go out but maybe three of them in the last five years. I was able to buy about 200 5x4x11 bearings for $0.10 a piece. For the forum, you...
I have beadlock aluminum rims. This is a way of saving money on tires in the long run. I have had the wheels for about five years with many different tires mounted on them. I have a set of non...
To be honest with you, I have not. I seldomly replace ring and pinion gears so I haven't been able to talk myself into the additional cost of them. I may give them a shot soon. How do you like them?
Sounds like a quality piece of work! I love to hear how people make things work :)
You are an inspiration, my friend! Keep up the great work :)
As a few people may know, I have been running MIP X-Duty axles for many years. I have a few sets that have gotten moved to different trucks over the years. Well recently I have had two wheel hex...
I like to be more hands on with adjustments I have had the bearing in the middle of the spur gear fail. The way I adjust my slipper made it easy to spot the problem.
