The R2 is kind of loud compared the the first edition, but it's got amazing low speed control.
Nice! 2200KV is a good choice too, if it's a little low you can largen the pinion a little.
I run 10t on my TRX6 with a 2850KV axe
For crawling you'd want around 2700KV for the TRX4/6. The higher the KV, the faster the motor spins. 2850kv means 2850 rotations per minute at one volt.
2850 Gives you a good balance between low...
It's mainly the shocks.
To get the wobble, either remove the shock oil completely or add some very light shock oil, like 10wt.
No shock oil or light shock oil will make your car worse at...
It should fit. Traxxas managed to fit a funny car motor in to the TRX4 with no modifications (maybe very minor and easy ones).
Around how much current shoudl I be allowing to pass through at 3v?
And if I do power it off of the traxxas light power supply (3v), do I still need a resistor? I think it has an internal resistor,...
All of the TRX4s (other than the sport) are the same chassis and have the same components. (other than some wheelbase differences but that can be easily changed. Some of them have light some do not. ...
Ohhhh nooo WD40 is not good for bearings.
It breaks down the grease inside them and makes it easier for rust and corrosion to form inside them.
I'd recommend cleaning out the bearings you used...
Yep it will work. The BEC plugs in to the receiver, not the servo.
You can still mount the Proline Jeep with the existing body posts.
You'll just have to make your own holes in the body because it doesn't come pre-cut.
Ok, thanks.
I'll take a look.
So if I run it at 6v (which is max operating temp), they'll run at their max lumens right?
So I should be running at around 3v?
I found these: https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Lumileds/L150-30905006000S0/?qs=GedFDFLaBXGGokKJaY6mbA%3D%3D
At 4000k they're a good color temperature, and they run off of 6v, which can be...
Thanks!
I'm no LED expert, but with these, all I need to do is solder on the + and - at the correct voltage, and no fancy circuit boards right?
The aluminum tranny isn't compltely necessary.
Chris5100 does have a point in the bearings seizing up, but to have bearings sieze up, 1 the water has to go in to the transmission seal or bearing...
Flex isn't everything in terms of crawler performance, but it's still pretty important. Shock tuning will help, there aren't many pistol hole options for crawlers, and people rarely use them to tune...
Theres a 90s 2 door Pathfinder body/rc from Kyosho:...
Its fine, Help is still help ::D
Do you know anyone that makes small LED diodes? Preferably around 5mm in length/width, maybe larger or smaller? I saw some small cheap diodes on Amazon, but I'm...
Yep, the infamous TRX4 transmission click.
It could be something else, but it's most likely. Try to find the source of the click, if it's the transmission, then you've got the transmission click....
Any lube works, I prefer dry lube with PTFE (in this case WD40 dry lube does work, Standard WD40 will only temporarily lubricate). Dry lube makes it so that dirt doesn't stick to the driveshaft, but...
Welcome to the Traxxas Forums!
Generally for crawlers, you either want sensored brushless or brushed motors. Unsensored brushless motors can be pretty unsmooth when starting up and generally don't...
I have the exact same MKS servo on my TRX6,
Really good with plenty of power and speed, I swapped it for the old Savox 1210sg.
Yes it does make a slight buzzy sound, even when centered, but...
Looks really nice!
Do you plan on adding some weathering? I saw a video by Scale Builder's Guild on youtube for a really cool weathering technique without making it look dirty.
...
Most greases will work, but I prefer marine grease for all crawler applications. It's corrosion-resistant and will prevent your gears from corroding/rusting, and it helps prevent water from entering...
Can you send a picture? And are they the stock traxxas LED lights?
I would check if any wires are broken, the LEDs could be broken, but they are pretty hard to break.
