You will have to run both 650 motors i believe. One single 650 would not be sufficient. Only single brushed motor id use would be a titan 775, or the dewalt set up for a 3903.

This could be in the e-maxx section. Anyway you do have to gear down some to help keep temps down. You speed control is going into thermal shut down. It is ok to unplug battery at any time you want....

I believe the pinion he is refering to is the one that comes with the differential rebuild kit. It is also called a pinion. Peace.

When shifting make sure servo linkage is moving that shift rod all the way out, and in correctly. I had to adjust mine a few times. Hopefully any noise is just low gear. It my be nothing but gear...

I use my summit more in the winter. Otherwise it does sit on the shelf, BUT since i put a sensored hobbywing 150amp/1800kv combo in it i have used it more often.

You can buy a pede 4x4 roller cheap now, s maybe pass on buying the e-maxx, and build up a good pede 4x4.

The e-maxx is easier to tear apart, and replace diffs.

I agree with trax de maxx. I got a 3906 that i rebuilt a few times. Matter of fact i finally found a carbon fiber lcg race chassis for its next rebuild this winter. I love the shorter wheelbase over...

This is for the above post. I would get a 2. 4g radio , and receiver for sure. I saw that on ebay, and almost bought it, lol.

Or go to buy traxxas, and look for part 3998. That is the kit you can instal to have a 2spd summit tranny. You would need a 3 channel radio also. I had a extra that i linked to my receiver.

Fishing is one of my favorite hobbies, :thumbup: I also ice fish often. I usually always take my 1/10 summit with me in case no fish are biting.

I put a summit tranny in my 3903. They are the same tranny, except the 2spd. You of course need to swap motor mounts, and put in a shift servo in the chassis. It works quite well. My opinion is just...
