So what size are the motor bearings?
Yep. I play BO2. Add me if anyone wants to play. GT:TheDurg601. I'm trying to get in to youtube too. YT channel is the same as my GT.
I don't want one after 2014 because they are going to a different chassis and swapping the solid axle for IRS.
Wow! I've been gone way too long. I love everything you're done to your car. It should look great lowered! I'm interested to see what the headers will do to the exhaust sound. I know you said you're...
Use the scryptasylum RC top speed calc.

16/86 or 20/90 would be a good place to start. 170 isn't way too hot... Just a little bit hot. Traxxas says 200 is too hot.

A picture would help a lot. The wires are all that's worn? You can just put some electrical tape on them and they will be fine.

The Billet Bandit is being rebuilt and I figured I'd make a little build thread along the way. It's a Rustler (sorry Bandit fans) but nearly everything is aluminum. I'm currently in the process of...
Not as long as there's no lube connecting both blades on the connector.

I think you should take the body off just to inspect things anyway its only three pins.

Use dielectric grease. It's conductive. Anything else could cause a poor connection.

Haha I love your reaction... "Wow". Be careful bashing in the snow. The cold temps make the plastic parts very brittle.

Wow. It's a whole 22 degrees Fahrenheit here. 17 with the wind chill. I almost had to walk 2 miles home though.

I don't think it would. Especially with a fine media like you're talking about.

Yeah...i was a little high. 200 about right. I was thinking the electronics were worth more.

It's about perfect as far as a durability/performance combo goes. I'd expect to pay around $250... maybe a little more.

I'd get a roller and build from there.

Mine is stock except for RPM arms and big bore shocks and I VERY rarely break anything and I bash hard... like jumping 15 feet at full throttle and coming down on one wheel hard.

Here's the build thread. It's come a long way from the last picture. Everything was disassembled, de-anodized, and polished. The blue on the upper chassis is silver now, the zip ties are off the...
Lol come on guys. I can't remember my username and password for photobucket so I guess I'll have to wait until I get it back together to get a serious answer.
Edit-got in but I guess I don't have...
You could be on to something. It's the stock Traxxas pinion. I've tried probably 8 different grub screws from 3 different brands but that wouldn't make a difference if the threads are bad right...
I'm thinking about selling the Billet Bandit. For those of you who missed (or forget) that build; it's a Rustler... Sorta. Front to back, it has...

I think I might. I hate to weld it and ruin a motor shaft but I've never changed pinions on the thing because it runs so good out of the box so I doubt I'd ever want to take it off... it's just worth...
I'll have to get the micrometer and measure the shaft I guess. I haven't tried to take the grub screw out since I put the red stuff on. It never had red Loctite on it before. I bought it new.

I just got done putting two packs through my Slash 4x4 and the pinion is still moving down the motor shaft. I just can't figure it out. The thing starts out SUPER tight but loosens right up after a...
