I bought the rustler 4x4 led lights from them and while the LEDs are bright, the 3D printed bits aren’t strong enough vs injection molded plastic. I’ve since ditched that set and have the Traxxas led...
Easiest way is to use Tapatalk, it’s an app on your phone that lets you peruse forums. You can download it on your phone and sign into your Traxxas account and upload pics straight from your phone. ...
Thanks for the info. I plan on grabbing another set for my stampede 4x4, I’ll get them in black :)

You can get the 2.0 clip less body mounts and swap over to the 2.0 body. I did a google and the only 1st gen bodies I found are the summitlink prepainted bodies for $34 for 2. Here’s a link

Appreciate the well wishes. I’m fine, rustler 4x4 is good too. Esc smelt bad but I checked it out with another lipo and it works fine.
The plug on the lipo was really hot when I unplugged it,...
That Body is Awesome! I want one, where’d you get it from?

Well. That was not fun. About crapped my pants. And swore about 918712732615 times.
I just swapped connectors on my Zeee 3s 5200mah lipo from xt60 to xt90, and I also swapped to xt90 on my VXL-3s...
Does the hard anodizing make that much a difference? I just got some blue slash GTRs cause blue is my color :P

Aren’t all the gtr shocks hard anodized and have TiN coated shafts?

Yes while we may have the freedom of speech, to say what we want, when/where/how we want, this is a forum that was built and put in place by Traxxas. They are letting all of us use this forum out of...
Ah okay, wasn’t thinking about that. Thanks for going into more detail [emoji51]

Can you explain this a bit more? Isn’t how he has it drawn out how most dual battery escs come set up? That’s how both my MXL6s and VXL6s escs are wired up.

The esc is the same except for the 540XL motor has 6.5mm bullets, and the normal vxl3s esc’s only have 3.5mm bullets. So the hoss vxl3s esc has the same size 6.5mm bullets so the motor can be used. ...
I did run it on a Kinexsis 3000kv system on 3s for a few weeks before I swapped diffs out. Did just fine. Just didn’t have any speed vs the VXL diffs.

The diffs are not completely the same. The brushed have a different tooth count on the crown and bevel gears vs the brushless diffs.
You can buy 2 brushless spec diffs on eBay for around 30...
That is an awesome solution. Did you make that? Or did you find it on Thingiverse. I’d make some but dont have a 3D printer [emoji2371]

I kinda sorta did mostly what you both did. Except I just drilled new holes into the bumpers and used the newly drilled holes to mount the lights straight to the bumper mounts. Worked out great.

Are you running the 540xl motor on 6s? I thought it was only good for 4s max [emoji2371]

You could get a vxl4s esc and put it in the hoss to use the light kit, as it plugs into the accessory port on the esc. If you don’t want to do that, then I’m not really sure what else can be done to...
While it’s plugged into the RX bypass, with the signal wire and ground plugged into ch1 for the servo, it doesn’t do anything. I unplug everything from the RX bypass and plug the servo straight into...
Having issue with getting my HV 8.4v servo to work with an RX bypass. I have it wired in correctly, the signal wire and ground going to ch1 for servo, servo plugged into the signal, power and ground...
But of a late update to this thread.
Just wanted to let you fellas kno that the UBEC is still working great, no issues at all.
I never did get around to making a waterproof box for it to sit...
