Same! All of the old threads with larger mah 3s links are no good. Was hoping someone would have some solid info. I’m not opposed to running lower mah batteries, but more is better for longer bash...
I hadn’t thought about the fiesta at rally. Didn’t realize they share a lot of the same parts. I’ll look into it! And as I said he’s just not ready for brushless just yet, so upgrading later on is...
So I was perusing Traxxas.com for parts for my stampede to slash converted truck, and happened across the brushed slash 4x4 page and noticed it says discontinued. Does anyone know if they are done...
Man I totally forgot about smc. I’ll have to order up 2 of those after I recover from Black Friday shopping [emoji38]

I bought a 3s lipo 1400mah, asked the seller if it’d fit the MERV and they said yes. It doesn’t. Have to flex the battery bay plastic and zip tie the door to hold the battery in : /
So that’s why...
So I searched the forums and found an old thread from back in 2010 that had posts about what 3s packs fit, but a lot of those brand mentioned I can’t seem to pull up on google.
So in short, what...
Hey those motors are pretty good. If it works for what you need then why not use it. And I like that idea about using that tubing for the front and roll bar. Those are some great ideas to help save...
All this info is great. Thank you all for sharing it with me. As someone who is still getting their feet wet in this hobby again, all the advice/info helps.

Can someone explain the use of the straps on the rear end, and why do people need them. Im going to be getting an E-Revo 2.0 soon and dont understand the use of the straps in the back end. Thanks
Do I spy an Arrma motor in that E-Revo? lol And is that foam zip tied to the front?
What about badlands mx28s? Would those have enough bite for snow? I just picked up a complete set

On the supplied nimh, around 15. On 2s, I think it was around 19. If this is your first 4x4 and you want speed, get the VXL version

Good to know! I haven’t used many aluminum parts on any of my rcs, and wasn’t sure if the increase in cost is worth it.

So I broke my first stock plastic piece yesterday, was trying to do some speed runs on 4s and had a 40+ foot cart wheel. Broke the left front steering block, and of course want to know everyone’s...
Oh wow. I didn’t realize so much was different between the 2 versions. I’ll just plan on getting a 2.0 E-Revo then. Thanks!

Hey everyone. I’m going to step up to 6s and I’m looking at maybe getting, in good condition, E-Revo brushless edition for my Christmas gift :)
The main thing I’m not familiar with is just what...
Good information, thanks for sharing!

So the one question everyone has is, how old is your son? That will help determine what you think they can handle in terms of brushed or brushless.

And harder to control for them. Depends on their age and if they have any rc experience. I still say play it safe with the 4x4 and you can upgrade to brushless later.

Only way to know is to try and fit them on the rustler 4x4. Give it a try and see.

Best way to match up lengths is to use the exploded views and click on the item links, should tell you what lengths they are.

That’s good to know, thanks!

Thanks for the info. I can get some VXL spec diffs off eBay for cheap so that’s not a problem.

My stampede 4x4 is the kit version, are the diffs for brushed vehicles or are they VXL diffs. I suppose I could open it up and look lol
I know someone is probably thinking why do you want to go...
