Wow, thank you! It’s all a bit of fun! It’s all done with spray cans (I use the Tamiya stuff). Really hard to say how long it takes, I just tend to grab an hour here and there.
These Martini...
Not yet - unfortunately my front bumper appears to be lost in the post. Got bored waiting so I decided to get the masking tape out! [emoji16]

Thanks for all your advice - yes it was a strange one. Just hoping it remains fixed. Also popped some new Tx batteries in, just case. [emoji1696]

Problem solved I think! I’ve always been a bit confused by there being throttle settings in both the ‘Drive Effects’ and‘Garage’ sections of the Traxxas app. Clearing both of these back to factory...
Hmm, more digging suggests it could be this. Will try a full reset to zero on everything first... [emoji106]

Thanks for all the suggestions. Apologies I’d noted it down wrong - it’s a fast flashing green light (not red as stated) when powering on. The red light is during the calibration process.
I’ve not...
No, it’s not that unfortunately. Just a very short press of the button when powering up and I get a solid red light. Thanks.

Hi folks, hope you may be able to help! I have the standard VXL3S ESC and for some time now it loses my calibration if I leave the car powered off for a short while. Each time I power on I get the...
Thank you! [emoji16] Glad it’s of interest, I’ll keep the updates coming then! [emoji1009][emoji374][emoji3541]

Quick update - the rear latching idea works perfectly!
My second Rustler rear shock tower arrived today so I cut it down and trial fitted it. Pleased to report that it puts the stiffness back into...
Thanks Gaba. Yes, three reasons really:
1. It lines the rear arch up with the wheel as you mentioned.
2. There’s enough clearance for the front axle at full lock without cutting the body back....
Nerf bars now fitted! I went with Maxx items in the end. They fit at the perfect height on a LCG chassis, no body trimming needed:

Definitely! It’s almost the perfect excuse to buy an airbrush! [emoji1787]

Cheers Squeegie, no firm plans yet, but I keep coming back to either a tweak on my old white Martini paint job again, or perhaps something like this would work on the Maxx shell (as I’m a bit of a...
The Hoss rear bumper and wheelie bar arrived today, so it’s been trial fitted...

It’s a bit ugly, but fits neatly...
Thanks Gaba, yes the original Slash bumper may work. I also have a cut down RPM one that could maybe work. Plenty of options to try! [emoji1787]
StijnH, yes it was radio uncontrol who got me...
Bit of a work in progress at the moment - my Maxx body and other parts arrived, so I’ve been playing around to get it all to fit. I really wanted to keep the arches aligned to the wheels on the Slash...
I’ve been posting in the Slash4x4 section until now, but my 4.5 year old son got a Rustler 4x4 VXL for Christmas and he’s loving it on 3S! Been learning on my 3S Slash4x4 for the past year, so this...
Will do, thanks Squeegie!
Merry Christmas to you too, here’s to 2021 being an improvement over 2020! [emoji23]

I haven’t tried that, I was worried they would self-destruct if I cut holes in them. Worth a try I guess, nothing to lose, thank you! [emoji16]

Thanks cooleocool, I’ve given up on them to be honest - still haven’t got all the water out! Decided it was a good excuse to buy some new wheels/tyres - I fancied some belted 2.8s to reduce the...
