Proline makes a clip less body just for the rustler 4x4, you can probably fit it to work.

He was looking at the right esc, I think someone at castle just made a minor mistake updating the mm2/2200kv combo page here
...
That looks great squeegie, there will be some trade off but can’t possibly be worse than my two builds using the steel vg racing cage. Lol.
There is so much to be said about how easy it is to...
So I unplugged the sensor wire and it didn’t make a difference. Neither did another battey of identical make and model at storage charge. So I charged the battery about 440mah and it ran fine, so my...
Agreed, Amain is not in any way an issue.
Mine was a separately purchased mmx esc while the motor is from a mm2/2200kv combo.
I will have to look at the esc because I am a bit too quick to clean up and tossed the box already. I bought the...
Hm mine is going that vibrating back and forth thing but the sounds are working, I keep getting a . _ which their manual says is lipo cut off, except my battery was at storage charge and not low. I...
The BEC on the mm2 was a reason why the CC 10amp external BEC was so popular. That 8amp figure was not used before the mmx came out, otherwise Castle has been very tight lipped about the mm2 bec amp...
The listing for the mm2+2200kv on their site seems like someone just copied and pasted the bed spec from the mmx page, because the standalone mm2 page doesn’t say the amp limit.
...
The mmx+2200kv is usually 260 on places like amain. I would avoid mm2 for the udr since it’s bec is far weaker than that of the MMX
Could you give some details of what the issue was? I just installed a set of mmx+2200kv combo and it is behaving a little off so I was wondering what you saw.
Rustler 4x4 now has proline after market body mounts that attach to the clipless body towers, might work for hoss too since they use the same towers and all.
Thanks squeegie. The motor’s boat origin shows with how indiscriminate the power comes on, definitely requires a softer touch on the throttle. :D
So I decided to build a budget pavement pounding high rpm machine. I used mostly parts I have sitting around, including
-tekno m6 drive shafts with 17mm hex axles
-castle mm2 set to 0 degree to...
You are right about the articulation, it’s a thing of beauty to see these things flex as they run over small houses :)
The cool things about the way Fallen did is that you have the option of both...
Very nice. The rustl4r’s chassis is deceptively roomy from the efficient use of space to mount the radio box, it’s actually easier to power up without relocating the receiver box. It’s nice to see...
The longer I stare at that, the more I think your approach is superior to mine because they way you did the rear end of the cage, not only preserved the rigid tail structure, it also allows the...
Thanks Squeegie! Bobbed, that’s the word I have been looking for. :)
Here is where it sits now with the tires all mounted.

I agree with you. This isn’t ideal in a a lot of ways. I certainly won’t run this on any thing other than low speed rock gardens, We all know what happens when crawler tires spin too fast.
The official spec says 5.8 inches and it is right where mine sits, just under 150mm.
Robinson racing makes some darn fine hardened steel pinions.
Send them an email, these guys respond back to me very quickly whenever I had a question.

My take is that since scrochedrc made it to fit the stock body, if we raise the mounts for bigger tires some rub and fit gap is inevitable. At that point maybe a heat gun and some hand adjustment can...
