Just buy an aftermarket failsafe. When I bought my revo, it came with the am crystal radio, so I quickly upgraded to a spektrum system which has a fail safe built in. Picked up a sport shortly after...
Have spare glow plugs. It's not uncommon to blow a couple during break in.
Check wheel nuts and slipper clutch to be sure the wheels are tight, and slipper isn't to loose.
Read the manual....
If you run the tank dry, you'll have to re-prime the motor every time. Inline filter won't help if it gets run dry.
Usually, the striped wire is positive. You'll have to meter it to be sure, but the outside wire is negative, middle is positive. It is a servo type plug.
My guess is its stuck at TDC. Try to turn the flywheel by hand or with a flat screwdriver, to free it.
Check piston skirt cutout orientation. The cut out should face the carb.
Yes the cut out in the skirt goes towards the carb. Personally, I wouldn't use a piston the was mated to a different sleeve. The piston and sleeve get worn (broken in) together, so using a piston...
The revo isn't a wheelie machine. It can be done, but it isn't brad for it. Will need to stiffen up the rear end to even begin to gut the front up. If it's taking off good, crisp, and quickly, maybe...
Your fan idea running off the motor will create more drag, and leading to more overheating. Your air intake is creating a lean condition would be my guess, again leading to overheating. That is if...
Turn to the right. It's in the link. Right to increase idle.
Yup. Six different color codes (frequencies) to choose from. In all honesty though you should probably consider upgrading to 2.4ghz technology. Can find them pretty cheap on eBay. Much better system...
I would suspect the idle screw isn't set properly. It should be set so there is about the thickness of a credit card opening, if you look down into the carb (dont have the truck running doing this),...
Need to get separate frequency crystals. One for each rx and tx.
Look up "P Tex" for skis. It will probably do what your looking for.
Edit: this would be for repairing the deep scratches.
Haha. Great use of channel 3.
Stretched rods usually are what leads to this issue. Catastrophic failure are usually caused by not having a proper broken in engine, running them without warming, or running to lean. I've had one...
On my RC bearings, I will only use powdered graphite. I suppose any dry lube will work. A "wet" lube will attract dirt and dust causing damage.
That blows, but glad I could help.
Before starting it, make sure all the mechanics are in order first. Make sure all servos operate, noting binding the drive system. Your specific problem sounds like either the carb is stuck at wide...
Coffee, COFFEE!!! I like most all coffee. I bought a kurig so I could try all kinds of different ones. The light roast/fruit blends, one in particular is raspberry truffle, is kinda potent on the...

There you go. I grabbed the whole list just in case you wanted more info.
It's probably gummed up inside. I'd do a tear down and cleaning.
I see it on the main page about half way down.
Making the spring tighter will make it so it launches a bit later. More throttle to get it going.
Well, holding the flywheel still with a vise or channel lock pliers is out, as your flywheel is free turning. I'd recommend a tear down of the whole motor. You will need to remove the carb too. One...
