This exact thing happened to me yesterday as well, with a pebble in the spur gear.. check that first before spending a lot of time tearing apart the transmission (like I did :o ) the most miniscule...

I just got done rebuilding my front end tonight from a broken 5678 last weekend. It is unfortunate that all of these differentials are breaking, but Traxxas is doing a good job...

checkout wingtote.com.. they have big duffle style bags designed for 1/8 scale and monster trucks...

You'll need 2mm, 2.5mm, and 3mm allen drivers. the kind with the ball ends are nice 'cause you can get some angles that a strait driver won't.
