Can someone tell me if getting a 2.4 system eliminates having to make sure nobody else is using the same channel as you at the track?

I've burn through at least one with every battery, but haven't ever lost one with my Slash.

New to the hobby. Have a stock slash and love it. Dying to go brushless, but my son doesn't need that kind of trouble. Looking to get my own with a lot more power, but want to do the mods myself...
