Brushed motors can last longer if they're cared for by avoiding getting sand, dirt, and water in them. Upgrading to a Traxxas brushless later could cost more than buying a brushless model now. Or...
In my opinion Primes would not be a good choice for pavement unless it's a immaculately clean surface. They're really good for hard packed clay. I have street fighters front and rear on a lot of...
The tires were probably not glued properly to the wheels.

I prefer lipos 5000mah or higher and 50c or higher. The only problem is getting them with the connectors (Traxxas ID style) to fit your new truck.

I have several of these, some i've had trouble with the Pro-line axles (not the Pro-spline type) falling out of the drive cup end on the left side. Is this because of the 4x4 bearing carriers I use...
By the way I do have a couple of the Tazer Twin systems and a couple of their 60a systems, all have worked well for me.

Personally I have seen quite a few times with different brands the instructions for esc's do not always work exactly the way they say. I think revisions are made on the esc's but the instructions...
Sorry, but this vs that threads not allowed.
They legally can't be sent by air, ground only.

I'm thinking my charger might have a poor connection. It started showing a bad cell in more batteries, 2S and 3S. I fiddled with it a bit and it started reading the cell voltage correctly. I do...
I have found a couple batteries I have were causing issues with the low voltage cutouts on the esc. I went to put them in storage when the Traxxas charger showed the battery had a bad cell on each...
I haven't tried using the "Octane" body on a standard width 2wd but I suppose it would work. Is that body supposed to resemble a Camaro? It almost looks like a Duster/Dart in some photos.

This info might be in the links above. The only "drag" car body that fits the 4x4 is the Pro-Line Octane. All the others are meant to be used with the Bandit arms, links and axles on a 2wd.

Good points Mr. Wolf, i use stiffer springs when needed to get the ride height i want without decreasing the travel of the shock by preloading the spring. I think a lot of people don't understand...
It depends on your intended use, heavier oil will help prevent "slapping" the chassis bottom on jumps etc. Personally I like my suspension to work so I use as light an oil that will prevent spring...
My issue with traxxas batteries is the low c rating. I haven't seen any over 35c.

I am very impressed on how quick and straight your car goes. Is a 4x4 better for speed runs than a 2wd? Do you do anything to slow down the steering? I am trying to build some drag cars, so far I...
The "kit" also has longer toe and camber rods which are also available separately. You might be able to lengthen your stock rods but I prefer the rod end thread engagement with the longer rods. If...
The GTR front springs I have vary from 1 3/4" to 2 1/4" and the backs vary from 2 1/4" to 2 3/8"

I don't know the part # for the shock rod ends but with some searching on the Traxxas website it should come up.

P.S., the coloring on the spring numbers i gave are actually double stripe springs. That might have some significance in identifying the difference between GTR spring lengths.

Your black springs are probably in the medium range and i also believe they are from a XO-1 or Rally. I would go with Traxxas 7448 (blue .892) for the front and either 7447 (pink .884) or 7449 (blue...
It depends on the body you use. The "drag" car bodies are narrower and require the bandit arms unless you want the front and rear tires sticking out of the body.

I always liked the 70 and up Cuda/Challengers. Only Cuda i didn't care for was the year they had 4 headlights. (72?) I had a 68 or 69 GTX I bought for $300, raced it for a summer then tore it down to...
Just checked, my welder is a model 180. I was told they are a generic Miller. Didn't get a spool gun with it, probably couldn't get one now. The Farm and Fleet store here in N. Illinois carried it...
