Like Geo said, the Teton stock ring and pinion gears are steel. The problem are the four small spider gears that go in the ring gear that are plastic and totally unable to take the punishment.

The body is a little bit longer than the Teton. Suspension supports and shocks look like they're exactly the same. More than likely the powertrain is the same as well. So all the weak spots are there...

No. It's too fragile, I would have gone 1:10 (which I consequently did). It seems the problem with a 6 year old driver is not the ability to drive as much as the ability of the car to take the...

While what Cyrano said is definitely true, the two are so different that the question doesn't really make sense. The Rally is a very low on-road racer, while the Teton is a much higher clearance...

Split the outdrive? That was not really surprising, others have broken them with brushless when the driveshafts were upgraded so they won't give in. You might want to look into either the alu spool...

I haven't got into trouble mentionig Team Asso, 3Racing, Himoto and Atomik on numerous occasions regarding Teton mods, so I'd say you're safe telling us where those are from. :)

I really would not, unless you are planning on upgrading the entire powertrain. The diffs and driveshafts won't last long even with a cheap brushless.

I soldered Deans connectors to the motor and ESC so any future motor switches only require a new connector on the motor side. I'd also recommend putting a heatsink+fan on the motor to keep it cooler,...
