If CVD's/bones have well sealed boots, I use grease. If not, I use white lightning chain lube and apply it after every run. Just couple drops on each joint, then it dries for next time. Leaves a wax...
No problem. I've been running tires like that for over a year on my ERBEv2 and outcast on 6S without issue. Lots of WOT backflips and WOT flat out runs. The outcast is geared a bit taller and goes...
Those fans are pretty loud... I ran 3 of them on my 6S trucks for a while, 2 on the motor, 1 on the esc. Well, ones that look like them. They were from rcjuice and badged as hobbystar fans.
I...
I tried tape many many years ago and it worked, until it didn't. Then the tape got balled up inside the tire making it useless and severely out of balance. That was with nitro that ran less than...
With it being cold, they likely aren't gripping that well. I used to run proline road rage tires on my jato and unless it was 75F+ outside and the pavement was hot, they didn't hook up at all.
Guessing he means actual dye. I've seen where people use rit dye. It works with some plastics, just takes time to soak and the water has to be just under boiling I think.
I wrap mine with 500lb cored kevlar cord. Otherwise they blow right off the rims. I didn't do it once with my 3.8 trenchers on my savage flux after switching to 6S and they made it about 2 minutes...
If you buy them, let us know. I wouldn't mind a set of the backflip LP's on 3.8 geodes/revo2.0 wheels to try on my stampede 4x4.
Do you mean just the 1/8th buggy style bead vs the MT/ST style bead? Pretty sure the arrma tires have the 1/8th buggy style bead on them. Hard to tell for sure since every photo I can find of just...
There are 3 cranks that fit the engine. It came with either a bump start pilot crank with standard SG threads (and slide carb), a pull-start threaded crank (and rotary carb) that requires a clutch...
I was overthinking it I guess. :)
I have an old MRC 959 superbrain AC/DC that I use for NiMH stuff. Been using that thing for 10+ years. Works for 1-8 cells with a range of .5-4.5Amps.
When I started lipo, I had the traxxas dual...
I missed that. Not sure why you would run that though. The os carb is really good.
I did try the 3.4 carb on my 3.3, but it kept binding on me no matter how I situated the carb/arm/linkage. I...
Thanks for the refresher. :)
Yep, those weigh 10oz on traxxas 3.8" 17mm geodes vs 13.9oz 3.8 talon ext's from the ERBEv2. Hair bit narrower face as well.
I just weighed one of the 3.8 chevrons on geodes that I have to see. I...
Yeah, they appear to be 13/37 as well... not sure that's as relevant as the OD though.

Forgot where I was and didn't think of that.
Or get a non trx charger that comes with what you need:

You can also use teflon thread tape on the pivot balls and pivot ball caps if they loosen on you.

Just a wrap or two...
Used to run those on a savage for a bit... could never get them to hold up well though, kept popping out of the bead. :(

Might have been maximizers. I had those too. lol!
Any footage from the onboard camera yet?
"Not terrible"... that is a goal I strive for on most days!
Did it come with a revo style manifold? If not, the stock one won't work with it. I only ran the 18TM and 21TM engines in my revos, never the TZ. I run a THS revo pipe on them, but I use associated...
