I worked for O'Reilly several years ago and found the part number for the LH studs and nuts. I think dorman stopped making them recently though.

Nah, I like that it's different! I will never let a shop take the wheels off unless I'm right there watching though! I've managed to get a few spare lug nuts, and I think there's reproduction studs...
Yeah I thought about going to the 17mm, but I have Tekno axles and didn't want to try and figure out how to use the adapters.
Yes, my Dart still has 10 LH lugs. It's got factory Kelsey Hayes disc...
I'm still around lol, but I didn't think the tags work.
Yes, eBay Hoss takeoffs.

I agree on the 540XL. The 3500 is a great motor, but it's a bit small for the 4x4 vehicles. The 540 is great!
I just added the Sledgehammer tires on my Rusty. Looks much better, can't wait to try...
I agree with this. I think you are trying to do too many things at once to have it all realistically work out. It's possible to do it if you're willing to change the gears for each activity. Tires...
Just finished pulling it apart... It's got two broken CVD pins [emoji58][emoji58][emoji58] ordered a rebuild kit for it. I'll try the graphite for now, once I get it back together anyway.

Nope, not lowered, I've put a bit of preload on the shocks bit that's it. It's been just the front axles having issues. It started just at full lock, but there other day it did it while the wheels...
I keep having issues with my tekno axles binding. Last time out I used some white lithium grease, which fixed it but attracted all kinds of dirt. I'm going to pull the axles and clean them, what...
I have been following this the whole time! Such a cool and unique build! I would be scared to run it and get it scratched!! Now you should build a trailer, or find a scale Jeep to tow behind it!

Don't feel irresponsible, it really depends on the kid. My 3 year old could not handle full power on my Rustler! It would smash into the nearest hard object and probably explode. But if your kids...
Yeah there's an option in there so you can set it as low as you want. Just fyi my Rustler won't move if the setting under 10%.
Rustler 4x4 VXL
My 3 year old can drive my Rustler 4x4. I use the Bluetooth module and turn the power down to like 15%. I wouldn't recommend he run it on anything much higher, at least in my case. I agree, for his...
Anyone ever have the front cvd bind up? At full lock and fairly high throttle the joints bind up and then release. I obviously don't want anything to break. I did lube them, which made it better but...
That is correct, the Hoss esc has bigger wires that the Slash/Rustler esc. I just put a 540xl in my Rustler and had to run the Hoss...
It's possible the OP has a 2wd, just posted in the 4x4 section?

Agreed. However, Traxxas does say in the manual that modifications are recommended to run 3s. The truck is set up for 2s to start.

I never had any issues with the plastic caps coming off, but I still replaced the shocks with Prolines. I just wanted the threaded preload instead of the stupid clips. The originals were on for about...
I'm not a racer, so wheelies aren't an issue for me [emoji846] I got sick of landing jumps and having to pry the bar out from under the body. And I've only ever flipped it once during a wheelie, the...
Yeah, but the factory one flexed so much that it did the same thing. This one at least doesn't get jammed under the back end of the body.

This is what I run. Much more solid than the factory bar, which totally destroyed the rear...
I'll do that eventually once these fans die. I run the car in grass, dirt, gravel, etc. One of the fan blades cracked and jammed against the housing several months ago. I ripped the blade off and...
If it's the same fan I have, they send an extra plug. The fan itself should already have a plug. Just run it into the receiver box and plug it in as described. It's the red plug in the picture. Btw...
The rear tires pointed in is normal. It is possible your new carriers increased the angle though. You shouldn't have any issues.

Just had a similar issue with a motor mount screw. I ended up drilling the head off (it was a countersunk screw) and then using vise grips to get the remainder of the screw out. None of my screw...
