Hey, its not raining and I'm back in action after a few nights of not sleeping and back pain :-) I hate moving. I'll call you in a little bit to see if your charged up.
Thanks Digger and Dc. Plan on a trip to the LHS to grab some small parts and if they have the heavy duty drive shafts I'll grab them too. Always good to have spares on hand.
Hi,
Just wondering if there are better choices for the drive shafts for an XL-5 Pede.
With the Titan 12T motor I don't see the need but when going to a brushless system I would think it would...

Yep, blocking out parts of the URL.
Here are some pics of the rear end dropped after the oh so sudden stop. Not great pics since they we taken with the cel.

I have been using CRC Electrical Motor cleaner (not the Electrical contact cleaner). Seems to work great so far.
I picked it up at the local automotive part store.
I think it is time for the town to step up and caution tape anything hazardous to my pede while out rippin' up the street corner.
"Skinny Ninjas" I'm gonna have to remember that one
Wow, I don't feel so bad now.
Is this a good reason for an metal chassis?
Took a hard head on hit on a street sign post tonight and ripped the screws right out of the bottom of the rear shock mount . Not a pretty sight as the rear wheels tipped in and whole read end hit...
I would say around 35 minutes but it is non-stop for that time. The 3300Mah has tons of punch but lags in run time compared to Snowfighter's SPC batteries.
Wow, nice score. I was going to pick up some progressive springs but we didn't come up with enough loot between mine and the granddaughters piggy banks so it looks like we're gonna cruse the drive...
Not yet, but when he is not looking I'll swap his out with some 1600 6 cells and try his in mine
I have a cheap Sky 3300Mah LiPo now and the Pede is awesome with it. Crazy fast and wheelies like no tomorrow. The battery is 40c with 80 punch. I need a set of the SPC batteries next.
Wow, the Black and white is just amazing :-)
20 years ago I had one painted by Motion Graphics and it was pricey and well worth it but I would love to try one of the black and while schemes on a...
If you need help setting it up let me know and I can go through setting with you.
Thanks Baldy
I may stop by the LHS this morning and grab up some progressive springs and look at adding the weight.
I also need to locktite some of the screw since I seem to have many come...
I have that charger and it works great. Been using it for almost a year now.
I picked mine up off of eBay but not sure the seller.
Since my Lipo battery is so light, maybe just taping in a rock or roll of quarters up front would do the trick :-)
I have had good experiences with Hopmeup ad The Toyz on ebay. Usually pretty quick to get to my mailbox.
Is his E-Maxx for sale on the forum yet? hehehehehe
Now if I can just get more front suspension usage out of the front end I'll be happy until I can afford a brushless system.
I think softer...
Here is the mount cut down and remounted....
Thanks Digger,
I cut down and remounted the front and rear body mounts and like this setup a lot more. I'll have pics up later today.
Thanks Baldy. I will probably just do the free cut down front body mount method for now.
Looks like a plan for this morning :-)
Don
Oh, if I had any extra funds I'd be broke.
Is it worth lowering the body? Was thinking about cutting down the front body mount and lowering the back but not sure if it is worth it. Would look...
