I've run 3s life (9.9v) and gearing from 16-24 with 83-86. Many combos in that. I like my vxl just tried a novak and there is a big differance.

It coggs just from a stop with any batt. I've run nimh, lipo and life. Just ran a sensored novak and love the differance.

I do have the spektrum 2.0 system and still get cogging.

I've been running a VXL combo for nearly a year now and love it. But I'm looking for more speed and less cogging. I'm researching castle and novak but I'm woried about temps. If any of you have run...

In the instructions it shows a sensored port in the front of the VXL. Any one used it?

I'm looking to try a sensored motor with my VXL esc. I see in the instructions that it should work. I wanted hear from you guys who have run a sensored motor. What motor and how did it work for you?

Has any one put some of the 4wd slash parts on their slash? I'm looking at the bell crank system (I think it fits). Any one have info on this. thanks:wacko:

I have same battery. I'd notch it only half way down and tape the cut out to prevent rubbing on batt wires. And the chassis may have broke due to it being cold outside. Just a thought.

Traxxas and Jconcepts makes a clear one that you can paint. My friend made a cop truck complete with lights and siren.

I'd try a 30wt oil and more preload if u want rebound. I went the other way and slowed it down so it is less springy. But see what you like.

Ace does have a few M3 screws. I've found all I've needed there.

Not very bling but the heatsink for the traxxas blast works well for me and fit without mods.

When my servo ate a gear I called traxxas and they sent a new servo. I then went to buytraxxas.com and ordered the gear set and the hardware pack for a second horn. Now I have duel waterproof servos....

another update. I finally got my mini slash set up to kill the track and 3 packs into the day I had a bearing shred on the rear output. Now its in pieces waiting for another tower oreder. my lhs...

I agree with alum shock caps but that's a cheap fix. Or like bandit said I'll move my BB from slash to 4x4 slash
