sway bars would help, is this on the upcoming option parts?
Made a video about this thread. I don't remember sharing anything that isn't already written in this thread, but I thought I'd link it for completeness.

Yeah, Traxxas gets the steering geometry wrong about half the time. That's why I said in my comparison review that other brands actually seem like they're designed by actual mechanical/automotive...
Maybe they gave you the wrong receiver?
I'm not sure 20M is really 20M, I think they just made up that number. The 20M in the diff honestly looked like dried up shoe goo to me. :woot:
But yes, I scooped out half of the 20M and...
The 90 degree part is fine, but IIRC the servo horn or draglink hits the top of the servo at full left.
If you watch my calibration video at about 6:34 you can see that the double shear servo horn...
Thanks for testing that! No other ideas, the ribbing on the Maxx is different and the shape looked more cylindrical (less tapered) which is why I thought it might have more volume.
Power is nothing without control. NM, that was a Pontiac commercial.
From your video, it looks like the Maxx has a higher volume diff that holds more fluid. This should keep the fluid temps down a little bit for more consistency and maybe longer life. It also looks...
I think it's 30k, 20mil, 30k F/C/R.
I highly recommend you guys go through and reset your radio settings and set your end points, especially on a new Maxx. Mine were off by a lot in the radio. Here's how:

Well done, you earned a sub!
I don't think there will be an E-Maxx 2.0. Did they discontinue the E-Revo before they released the 2.0?
OG 3.8" Badlands are on sale at amain.com, $41/premount pair. I picked up a whole set.
I'll be honest, I think the Maxx doesn't really need much out of the box. Some minor stuff to fix some of the stupid things (fans, 17mm axle stubs are nice), but overall it's pretty awesome.
It all depends on where you're going to drive it. On dirt, it's fine. On the street, pretty poor.
They've implied that it is in some Traxxas videos.
Nice find, let us know how it holds up. My aluminum fan seems to be holding up to big air so far.
Without the foam padding I assume?
I'm using the AKA 17mm T-handle, works perfectly and is as big as you can and still fit in the tire.

I'll eventually do one, but it will be awhile.
Which fan is "this"? The stock one or the aluminum one? There are other aluminum fans on amain you could use, they're probably all the same.
You can also run fans or lights off one of of the other slots in the receiver box. There should be extra spots you can use for power. There's also a fan port on the ESC if you're not running an ESC...
The stock fan is crap, you don't want another one of those. This is what I'm doing for my ESC fan, holding up great. You could do the same thing for your motor.
