The two versions of Aton (one has a gimbal and a larger battery) fly and are exactly the same.
The one with the larger battery can fly longer, but it is the exact same unit.
I don't think I've heard of that, so I'm guessing no, but happy to be corrected
Sadly similar but the result was... erm… less successful.
Was at a school soccer field. Had my confidence up a little high.
Sent the Aton out into the field and took a long wide turn back. Too late...
That sucks!
I'll research locations again, but I bet it'll be a long drive.
I've got to get back in the air. The laws here changed significantly, and according to maps ALL of my usual flight areas are now off limits.
I've always been a very careful flyer, and conscious of...
No audio, but this should help

Rats! What device are you trying to fit?
Cool, I'll be interested to hear the result!
No idea if the Traxxas one goes to 8"

Haven't heard about anything new coming. They were pretty tight lipped about the Aton before it came out though...
Ten bucks says you powered it up on your porch, then flew somewhere else without powering down, so it remembered "home".
And for sure update it if you haven't yet. Well worth it!

What batteries are you running?
The 3000mah won't give you as much punch as a 4000mah 25c will.

Great score.
Happy flying, it's an awesome sport flyer!
I like it!
Take it easy in film mode first.
Make sure the firmware is up to date.
Make sure props are nice and tight.
Make sure TX batteries are good.
Have fun!!!
Howdy T-Rax
1) I think you're fine without the landing gear, no worries.
2) I tend to land when the bars on the controller are just gone from 2 to 1 bar. If you do a heavy climb and the display...
Indeed. FPV framing was supposed to come last year. Not sure if we'll see it now but I still have hope.
Welcome Nova!
Careful with that Loctite. It eats plastic for breakfast. Been a few here that had their props disintegrate!
Had I known about it before I purchased my clone I would have bought it for sure based on the built-in stabilization.

Have never heard of issues except with wifi. How do you have the camera mounted? I tried mounting my cam on top in front of the GPS cowling and wifi or not the Aton would not behave.
Oh no! Hope you can get a replacement!
