Esc burns up

My esc went bad recently after running proline badlands. For a 900 dollar rc the xmaxx is fragile. 6 months of owning and stock esc has burnt up, motor fans burnt up, all 4 stock tires have exploded,...

Seems like a pretty good deal for a complete kit, I might have to get one. Any idea what speed it would be capable? How hard is it to solder traxxas ends on esc?

Had the truck for a few months now and have ran it hard a lot and no problems till I installed badlands. Running truck for approx 10 mins in 60 degree weather and it stops running, now the lights on...

Stock tires are junk, pay all that money for the truck and run it on 8s and they explode.

Have you got it running yet? Interested in how you like it, I’m very interested in going this route with mine. I have the smc 4s lipos and they are very nice if your still looking for batteries

I ended up going with the proline badlands and I can say I really like them. Much much better then factory and I don’t see any issues with the stock servo so far. I will most likely end up upgrading...

What kind of speed are you looking at with this set up? Is this a good deal hobbbywing sells esc and motor for 340. How hard is it to attach traxxas ends

Did the pinion gear come loose? I had an issue with mine coming loose and then eating through the spur gear. Loctite will fix that

Anyone own the badlands and duratrax? From what I’ve researched they both weigh 1 pound 11 ounce. And stocks weigh 1 pound 2 ounce. If this is the case I think I would rather have the badlands

Any reason you like to run stocks over the badlands? I thought the badlands offered better control

are they better then stock 8s? The ones you have are they street tires? I see there hard to find are they good? I would be leaning towards the hatchet x, lock up x, or six pack

That’s disappointing they still balloon, from the videos I’ve watched they didn’t seem to and they are advertised not to balloon

My fav upgrades so far are upgraded charger and 4s lipos. Just installed a dust cover and proline brute body, wish I would have had dust cover from start.

Would I be able to keep stock springs and do 50k weight all around? 30k all around is stock right?
