The LHS told them NOT to buy the metal shock caps and that they should buy new shocks. Seems like a grab for a better profit margin to me.

I like the stock plastic ones with metal caps for racing because they are lightweight but for bashing I would suggest GTRs if you have the money to burn on them. Only to jump safer really.

Alot of people say the RPM rod ends are too soft but in my experience they pop off the ball harmlessly before damaging the threads but I wouldn't use them on anything heavier than 2.5lbs because they...

That is odd since the slash 4x4 and rustler 4x4 plus a few more use the same parts. Are they too long or too short?

It is one awesome looking rig. I think I would still put the Stampede rear bumper on for just something to be there for any cartwheeling that might happen.

If you install the on the correct sides they have stock toe in. If installed on the opposite sides I think it reduces the toe in to 1 degree.

This is an old thread so not likely to get replies from them. You are making a common mistake in understanding how a fan works when right up against a solid surface. This was debated over about 20-30...

Thanks much and I agree 6 inch wide body would be nice but anything I ever found that narrow was always too short in wheelbase or too short in height to meet up with the chassis tub.

I have been using E-Maxx bodies since they we relatively cheap and pre-cut. Just a slight modification to the stock Slash 4x4 body mounts lets it fit. I have afew pics in this thread:...

There are more parts but I do know the plastic center drive shaft and the diffs are big differences. That might need upgrading to VXL parts.
