What are your temps when pulling it off the track with the 14t? If you have room to go up in temp, try the 15t. Back when I ran the stock stuff, I used the 15t for racing and it worked well for my...
D8 buggy shocks. I chucked my Prolines in favor of them. Price is a wash between the two.

Dude. Awesome pics!
Depends on conditions. If all four tires have the same grip on a given surface, the truck will accelerate at the same speed using the center diff. Top speed will always be the same, but the slipper...
With the slipper, the front/rear are locked together. With the center diff, they are not. You want the slipper if you want them locked.
It's funny because I've heard people say these motors are slow on 2s.
I was pulling it off the track after 10mins of solid running like this and the temp was always around 90F - 100F. It...
I had Proline Powerstrokes before, with the tuning spring set. I tried the soft springs, but they required too much preload to get a normal ride height, leaving me pretty much with the standard set...
Thanks. :)
If you watch some of my vids from last spring, you can see how much my driving skills have improved.
So I haven't actually been able to run the truck at the track until today with the D8 shocks installed. It's on private property and the season is over so getting out there is difficult. Me and a...
I've never used tire bands or regular rubber bands when gluing up tires...and never have had an issue. Those tires will easily seat in the bead grooves of those wheels. Super easy to glue them.
Pull the back half of the truck off, stick your finger in the bearing and spin it. If it's super gritty, it may be a good time to replace it. If still smooth, leave it be. It's a whopping four screws...
Should have just called Tekno. They revised the design and sent out free replacements to those that broke the first sets. I haven't had a single issue with the replacement set and they saw some...
What did you break on the Teknos? I broke one of the originals, but haven't had a single issue with the revised set and it's been many months of racing and bashing. The cool thing about Tekno is if...
My Teknos have been awesome. Same design as the RC8 CVD's with captured crosspins and big bearings. Simple, easy, strong, and light.
Bearing is probably seized, or had been seized in the past and wore down the center diff. Common issue.
Traxxas says not to use 3s with the center diff, but I've never had an issue with it. There...
IMO, they both look great. I just prefer the JC version.
That said, I'm glad some good looking bodies are coming out. I ran a stock SC10 body racing all summer because I thought it was the best...
Looks good, but the JConcepts version looks better, IMO.
I'm just curious...
Why did you go through all the trouble of building that thing up like you did, only to wanna sell it after a few runs? I notice a lot of people do this recently. Do you like...
Both their CVD's and the 17mm axle adapters are based on current 1/8 scale stuff, so it's all pretty beefy and can handle just about anything.
I can make the truck sit just as high as I could with the Prolines or the stock shocks. And they compress to a little more than fully bottomed out.
These trucks really handle with them lower to...
I don't think I've heard of a single issue with the Tekno CVD's since they revised them back in the middle of the summer. Mine have held up great.
I had an e-clip blow off the first time I used my Powerstrokes. I didn't lose it though since it stayed in the shock. Had to run around the track to find my springs and spring perch though. I crimped...
Not at all. With the standoffs I used, they have the same clearance as the stock shocks.
No video yet. Maybe if I get some buddies together this weekend I'll get out and run the thing.
BTW, those aren't preload "spacers". That is the shorty spring. I was using red shorties and green...
