This is definitely a possibility. Generally speaking, aluminum shock caps will be all that you need to prevent blown shock caps. I run stock (plastic) shock bodies with aluminum caps on several of my...
Looks great with those tires, that's for sure!

I've had to delete several posts in this thread. Let's try to keep things civil and not resort to name calling and/or commenting on peoples' intelligence. I will not be so nice next time if the...
Welcome to the forums, have fun with your new project!
I agree!
The Tetons (and other Latrax vehicles) tend to get a bit hot in my experience. We do drive ours in the grass quite a bit, but you do have to watch the temps.
I like my Teton as well, it's great for younger drivers.
Moving to the Alley.
I'm sure you'll be well taken care of. Let us know when you're back up and running! :)
I would also recommend topping off the battery before you use it, because Ni-Mh cells do self discharge over time. So before you do actually run it, just pop it on the charger to top it off and have...
Looking good!
That looks pretty sweet, nice work! Looking forward to an update with the rear end sorted!
I've always had great support via e-mail (even before becoming a moderator here ;) ), but a phone call during business hours would certainly be the fastest way to get in touch with them. :)
The grub screws Traxxas use are metric, 1.5mm. The grub screws some other companies (e.g RRP) use are SAE, 1/16th. The reason why your 1/16" wrench worked is because 1/16" is slightly larger than...
You can fix that pretty easily by adding some turn fins, with only a minimal speed loss (increased drag). I have a pair of turn fins that were custom designed for the Villain many years ago by a...
Looks great! While I like the original IV color scheme, I've always loved the EX's "crazier" colors; they made the EX look like a more modern go fast boat. :)
It is sad, but life will go on. :((
You'll probably have better luck with this question in the T-Maxx sub-forum; I'll move this thread there for you.
Yeah, I definitely agree with those saying to find a new hobby shop--that's ridiculous! You could easily modernize that truck! :)
I used to run those batteries back in the day, still have that...
Very nice! The Fiero is a neat little car!
Very nice! Looking forward to more pictures, it looks to be in great shape!
Yeah, they didn't come that way from the factory.
You could probably make a new windshield pretty easily with some scrap lexan. Fun fact, my NIB Villain IV kit (purchased in 2010ish) didn't even...
Are you sure they're not actually decals? Those look like the factory Villain IV decals to me.
The right oil weight is tied to the sort of driving you do (on-road, off-road, lots of jumps, etc.) and personal preference. If it's something you want to play with, try picking up some different...
Originally, the Stampede, Rustler, and Bandit didn't have a slipper clutch; this was back in the days of the Stinger motor, a motor that was lacking in the power department. As time went on (late...
