I would order the replacement part. I have found that epoxies (or any adhesives) do not hold up very well for bonding plastics together. i would consider it to be a temporary fix.

I would suspect that you need to push the pins out of the connector on the ESC and install them in this included connector, so that you can tap into the battery.
I replaced my Rustler 4x4 vxl shocks with the GTR shocks (XXL for rear, L for front) and used the shock oil that came with them.
I was popping the caps off the stock shocks - the GTR are a huge...
Before drilling the head of a screw that is in plastic - try using a left handed drill bit. I have found these will bite into the screw head and backout the screw. Worst case is you use it to drill...
