Full throttle into full reverse, AKA the self righting feature, is hard on parts. Don't use it.
Exercise trackers are still very unreliable.
MIP drivers come with molded handles unless you are talking about the Speed Tips. Speed Tips are meant for an electric driver. If you want to also use those in a handle you need something that...
It's belated, but Merry Christmas, all!
Yes, it is pretty lively on 2S!
I also got him a Traxxas EZ-Peak Live Dual charger and one Traxxas 5800mAh 2S LiPo. This way he can charge the batteries himself safely without having to worry...
I have to say I truly believe the Stampede 4x4 was the right choice.* Obviously, my nephew was so excited to receive the truck and after driving it he loves it.* The truck was faster and better...
Sounds like a great build. Yeah we need photos and video!
You learned the hard way like I did. RC Screwz makes garbage stuff and the customer service is just as bad.
I can't offer motor recommendations. I sold my 1/16th Slash long ago because I hated it. But I did find these in my searches and thought you'd appreciate them if you don't already have this...
I believe he's asking for a motor recommendation to be used with the Mini E-Revo and this ESC.
Great idea and it should work well. Just use strong screws - definitely not stainless steel.
Drag racing comes and goes, but it never stays. Not too many people have fun just driving in a straight line for a few seconds.
I will say now is as good a time as any to build because JConcepts...
I don't think that's going to happen, but don't take my opinion on it. Email Castle's customer service and ask them. They will be able to tell you for sure. They are typically quick to respond.
Well, I don't know about you guys, but at 42 I definitely feel old!
These B-Links are cool, but they are far too expensive IMO. HobbyWing has this feature built into some of their ESCs and Castle, Tekin, etc should be doing the same. Hopefully the next generation...
I think I may have misread your post initially. You are using a 5700kv motor not a 7700kv motor as I stated above. The Sidewinder might be fine. According to Castle, from the same link I posted in...
Nice! Congrats. And welcome back to this awesome hobby.
The Sidewinders are absolute garbage in my experience. Other people love them, but I do not. The Castle X series is much, much better.
With proper gearing your electronics should have no problem...
Congrats on the purchase! The UDR is an awesome truck for sure.
It's good to see more old guys getting back into RC! I've been in and out of the hobby for over 30 years myself and it all started with a Tamiya Hornet.
The UDR is an awesome truck. Good choice...
What's your budget for the motor and speed control?
Castle is a good place to start these days.
Very cool project!
Nice! I'd love to see photos of your setups.
A local dirt oval track, Ultimate RC Pitstop, has designed their own dirt oval chassis using Traxxas parts.
Here is a link to their Sprint Car...
Killing a brushed motor in a day is not typical.
No, a 540 brushed motor can make more torque than a 540 brushless motor depending on their specs, build quality, etc. With all other things...
How quickly is "quite quickly"? I bought my nephew a Slash for his 6th birthday. Two years later he's still beating on it and the brushed motor is doing just fine. My Slash is even older and it's...
