The X-Maxx stock steering servo is a very weak point if this truck, most of the mates change it for an aftermarket one.

Mate, I use brass weights on wheels, and at this moment, use the stock tires of TRX4, it a good quality compound in this tires.

I think if the car not reverse, it's an issue with the ESC.

Mate, as other mates says, I think is time to change this motor for an aftermarket one.

In the TRX4 series, the stock servo is a very weak point, the ESC is good for initial runs, but a brushless system is a must have in most of the cases.
