I bent a rear STRC shock tower so I switched to FLM. It has worked out great and there many more shock mounting positions. It wasn't a catastrophic bend, but enough to cause binding in the suspension...

    Castle motor for top speed?

How much top speed do you want? I've run a MMP/3800kv on 3s geared 22/54 for top speed runs. Clocked 71mph on the GPS. I didn't run into any heat issues but I only did a couple passes up and down the...

I use an MMP and love it. However I waterproofed it with plasti-dip. It works amazingly well, but waterproofing it kind of voids your warranty a little bit.

The 4x4 aluminum bellcrank from STRC won't work because it can't be assembled backwards. The plastic 4x4 bellcrank was designed to work in a 2wd or 4x4 because it can be assembled in two ways.

    LCG Chassis for jumping?

The lcg is much stronger than the hcg because the plate that holds the transmission is one solid piece. As apposed to the hcg that uses a raised skid plate, which is prone to snapping off. I've...

    Must Have Spare Parts

While everyone else mentions main components, I'm gonna add some small stuff. Have some extra body clips and wheel nuts on hand. Losing a wheel nut can ruin your fun in a hurry.

    What did I break?

If you're going to get aluminum anything for your truck, it should be that castor block that you broke. RPM blocks are stronger, but they will bend, which bends your pin in the process. It's better...
  17. Shoe Goo is total legit to fix your body.

My original slash body is still in "working order" after 5 years. There's about 3 tubes of shoe goo and a roll of drywall tape holding it together.

I've kept a Harbor Freight set of hexes in my toolbox for years, for those very situations. You come across odd sizes in the hobby and it's handy to have a tool on hand.

Stock: no, things will blow apart the moment you pull the trigger.

You'll have to upgrade the entire driveline and electronics.

You had the heat sink fall off of your ESC? I've honestly never heard of that happening. I'd contact Castle if I were you and see if you can have that fixed/replaced.
