Or you can get one of these (I have three of them and they work perfectly):

If yo want to have it inside the...
The chassis kit has a 12.3" wheelbase. The Defender body requires 12.8" wheelbase, so you'll have to get the chassis conversion kit to the longer wheelbase:

Then you just have to install the 6879's in the rear and everything should be fine.
Glad to be able to help!
Do you have the brushed or the VXL version?
You say you installed new diff gears. Do you mean the ring and pinion in the diff? Is it possible you bought the wrong gears - they are not the same on...
Good point! I haven't tested the Jato wheels, but they look flimsy. Thank you for letting us know!
You'll have to get part number 1170-12 from Proline if you want the same width as the Stampede 4x4 which has the same A-arms as the Slash 4x4. On the 4x4's the A-arms are the same front and rear....
Are you only doing speed runs? For more general use and with such a high kV motor, you'll have to gear down to a 11 or 12T motor pinion. You may get away with a 13T also, but cooling fans on the...
Have you forgotten to install the "crush washers" between the bearings?
In addition to the wheels mentioned above, I can think of four Traxxas wheels which fits:

Great to hear you kept it!
I gave mine to my brother when I bought the TRX-4 Defender, but he hardly drives it so I guess it's still mainly mine...:p
Lately, I put on a set of Proline...
The GTS shocks are emulsion shocks and doesn't have bladders. The descrition above is for Ultra shocks (Slash, Stampede, Rally etc.) and does not apply to TRX4/6 shocks.
This is how you maintain,...
You're welcome!
Whenever you can, please give us an update on how they are holding up.
Actually, GPM make C-hubs with bearings. But I can't vouch for the quality since I haven't tested them. And it seems like they only have bearings on the lower mount (to the A-arms).

According to the manual, the smallest pinion which can be used with the stock 54T spur gear is 13T. If you want to use a 12T or 11T motor pinion you'll have to remove the plastic end cap from the...
I have just a couple of runs with the Hatchet's on gravel and asphalt (since I save them for winter use). They grip very well on both surfaces, and on grass too. But they seem to wear faster than...
That's the bearing adapter. It replaces the stock plastic adapter and is a "must have" item. It does not, however, replace the bearing itself.
Optional, you can get an aluminium motor mount with a...
My preferred winter tyres are the Duratrax Hatchet MT's (= Louise RC MT-Cyclone) due to the very soft compound. They are directional but I run them "backwards" to minimize understeer on snow and...
The GTR shocks are great, but the rebound rate is one common issue (stock oil is 30wt). A lot of us install the variable damping kit (5461) with the piston holes drilled out to 1/16" and the metal...
Yes, you are correct. The Snap-on edition has the long arm lift kit and the servo mount includes the panhard bar mount:

The stock Bronco has the panhard...
As Dakratfink said, I use the firm sway bar on the rear to reduce understeer on loose surfaces. The sway bars also greatly improves stability when cornering at higher speeds and turning from side to...
He, he, I didn't even think about the servo - maybe I tought it goes without saying...?
I ran for a long time Power HD WP23KG servos. They work great but are a little on the slow side, so...
Welcome! Nice build project.
- MIP do have the X-Duty's for the Fiesta Rally:
https://www.miponline.com/MIP-X-Duty-CVD-Kit-Traxxas-Bandit-18390...
Assuming the servo is OK, did the previous owner by any chance pack the diff housing with a lot of grease (possibly sticky marine grease)?
It should only take minimum force to move the locking...
No worries! :D
I just wondered since most of the answers adresses the 4x4 model.
The Rustler 2WD forum is here:
https://forums.traxxas.com/forumdisplay.php?40-Rustler-Bandit
I have to ask:
You are posting in the Rustler 4x4 section, but the parts you've bought are for the 2WD - so which one do you have?
